Changes: I Turned 1 Signal Pest, and 1 Stromkirk Noble into 2 Spikeshot Elders.

And I turned 1 Galvanic Blast, and 1 Red Sun's Zenith into 2 and 1 Incinerate into 2 Arc Trails.

Added 2 Fireballs, 2 ratchet Bombs, to the Sideboard.

I playtested the deck at a local card store. In 1 game I had 8 6/6's by turns 5 to 7.

Had out 1 chieftain, 1 War Driver, 1 Signal Pest, 1 Spikeshot Elder, 1 Stromkirk, 1 Curse of stalked prey, 3 kuldotha rebirth Goblin tokens.

Then in another game did 21 damage turn 4, over a foe's 7/7 Dungrove Elder, with pumping up Immolating Souleater to 7, then assault Strobe double strike for 14. Foe didnt block with Dungrovem so flinged 24 more damage at the foe for the win.

Needs Shrine of Burning RageMTG Card: Shrine of Burning Rage. Have you also thought of Infernal PlungeMTG Card: Infernal Plunge? Turn 1 Goblin ChieftainMTG Card: Goblin Chieftain is rarely a bad thing. ;)

I was actually thinking of adding a Shrine of Burning Rage. The Shrine is kind of like a artifact version of Red Sun's Zenith. So if I have 1 Shrine, and 1 Red Sun's Zenith, it would still be kind of like having 2 Red Sun's Zenith's

I want at least 1 Red Sun's Zenith, because it will shuffle back into deck, and it can be reverberated by Chandra.

I want the Shrine because I can pop it off, with less mana spent, and also sac it for Kultha, if necessary.

As far as adding Infernal plunge, I have been looking for a way to add it. but the only ways, would be to take out 1 Assault strobe, and 1 curse, or 1 strobe, and 1 of my creatures. The problem with that, is that all my creatures are needed, and the curse of stalked prey's give all my creatures stromkirk Noble's ability. 2 curse of stalked preys, is not enough. Need, want 3 of them.

I could take out 1 Assault strobe, and go with 65 cards, 23 lands, instead of 64 cards, 23 lands, and add in 2 infernal plunges, that way. But I really dont want to do that, unless thats the only way to put 2 infernal plunges in, since I will not go more then 65 cards(my hard fast rule to never go more then 65 cards, in a standard deck.

I am going to turn 1 Red Sun's Zenith into 1 Shrine of Burning Rage, and turn 1 Assault strobe, and adding 1 card slot to 65 cards, into 2 Infernal Plunges.

Thanks for your comment. And also since you seem to like the deck, if thats the case, and if you want to then please dont forget to +1 the deck if you like the deck, and want to.

I should be getting more help,comments,views,+1's from other players, people, etc.

Perhaps some think that 65 cards, 23 lands, .353 mana, land ratio, wont work well. If thats the case, then they should please read the Deck Build Process, Strategy, Technique Note Section in the DECK BREAKDOWN, in the Deck Description above.

The deck plays fast, and well, has won some to somewhat almost a lot so far, and probably will continue to do so. The deck usually draws good most of the time. The deck has good synergy, focus, combo's,cohesion, fit, concept, theme, effectiveness, etc

Perhaps some think the cost of the deck is to much.

Yes the deck cost moderately, somewhat, semi expensive. But there are a lot of $135 to $400 decks in standard right now.

Also the deck is a well thought out, skillfully put together deck. I didnt just copy everybody elses Kuldotha red deck. I didnt just drop $176 to copy a deck. This was my standard deck, and then it cycled out with the zendikar block. Then during the last 17 to 19 days, I have been making changes.

January 22, 2012 10:43 p.m.

mikedh1 says... #17

Changes: Turned 1 Shrine of the burning rage, because I added 2 more artifacts, in Mox Opal's, so I could afford to take 1 Shrine out.

Also I used Shrine, instead of Red Sun, because the shrine was a artifact, and I needed more artifacts.

But now that I have more artifacts in deck, I turned Shrine into another Red Sun, because Red Sun is reused Shuffled back into deck, even if countered by a counterspell, and because Shrine takes to long to be used, where it can be both countered, and destroyed. And since Red Sun is reshuffled, its like having 15 burn cards, instead 13 burn cards. And with 2 Red Sun's, instead of 1 Red Sun, and 1 Shrine, the Red Sun has better draw odds of being drawn.

Changed, updated the Deck Breakdown, in the Deck Description.

I now have the whole deck, and most to semi almost all of the sideboard for the deck.

So I am now going to start alternating between this deck, and my Land destruction deck, at FNM.

I will report how the deck does at FNM.

I am thinking of taking out 1 signal Pest, and 1 Gob War Driver for 2 Phyrexian Metamorph's.

That would put me back up at 13 artifacts, instead of 12 artifacts.

And altho I would have 4 battlecryer's, instead of 6, since with 4 battlecryer's, 1 battlecryer, would probably come out that I could copy with Phyrexian Metamorph, that because of that, I would still effectively have 6 battlecryer's with 2 Signal Pest, 2 Goblin Wardriver's, 2 Phyrexian Metamorphs.

Also I could use Phyrexian Metamorph to copy all the other creatures, like the Goblin Chieftains, Adaptive Automaton's, Strom Kirk Noble, the 4/4 created by Koth the Hammer.

Also I could use the Metamorph to copy annoying Legendary Creatures, Artifacts, big creatures like Titans, etc.

Miasma says... #19

Dude. This deck is way to all over the place. Phyrexian MetamorphMTG Card: Phyrexian Metamorph has no place to be. And you are running way to many 2 of's. Get rid of half of them, and push the copies to 4 of the others. Plus is this Goblin's, or RDW? Because if you choose goblins, stick with goblins. Stromkirk NobleMTG Card: Stromkirk Noble has no synergy with the Cheiftain you see, nor do the other half of things. Plus, you should take out Adaptive AutomatonMTG Card: Adaptive Automaton. Goblin ChieftainMTG Card: Goblin Chieftain is a better version of it.

You obviously didn't read the DECK BUILD STRATEGY TECHNIQUES Section of the Deck Breakdown, of the Deck Description. That or you didnt understand it.

Here is a challenge for you, build a Effective Commander Format Deck. If you do that, you will see that standard format decks dont have to have 3,4 of everything to be effective.

I had a blue, black, Green EDH Commander Control Deck, that beat the better standard decks like 50% of the time. Same with the black, green, red, EDH Commander land destruction deck, that beat standard decks about 59% of the time.

Heck my Standard Red,Green Land destruction deck has 132 comments 2300 views, and 17 +1's, and is 1 of the best land destruction decks in standard, and it has 1,2 cards x 4 of, 2 to 4 cards x 3 of, and 5 to 9 cards x 2 of, 4 cards x 1 of.

Phyrexian Metamorph does belong, it can copy almost everything in my deck. It Helps with Metalcraft, battlecry, giving my Goblins, creatures +1/+1, can be used by Galvanic Blast, Kuldotha Rebirth, deals with annoying legends, permanents, ALL for 3 colorless mana. Only question is,was, where, how to fit it in. Heck even 1 of the better, best, winning standard players said that Metamorph was good for this deck, and only question was 1 of room for it.

Stromkirk Noble has synergy with BATTLECRY +1 to all creatures, and with Curse of stalking prey. Its 1 red, and gets bigger, huge, whatno to like?nothing. Every Top Player agrees that 2,3 Strom Kirk's is great, in a deck like this

The ONLY difference between Adaptive Automaton, and Chieftain is color, name, and haste,no haste. Other then that they are effectively the same. Also Adaptive Automaton helps with metalcraft, kuldotha rebirth, Galvanic Blast

Immolating Souleater cost 2 mana, and when use assault strobe, and fling on it, equals win, and again helps with metalcraft,Kuldotha Rebirth,Galvanic Blast.

It all about CARD CATEGORY CONCEPT THEME TASK,etc if have 12 creatures destroyers, of different names, colors, same mana cost, etc, then no matter if have 4 of each, or 1 of each.

I have 4 to 13 cards, in each concept, theme, task card categories. The deck plays fast, effectively, wins, has good syngery(despite what you say), and wins and thats all that matters, not whether every creature is a goblin or not.(by the way the deck has 19 goblins in it. Automatons, and Metamorph's CAN COUNT as Goblin's) Also Kuldotha Rebirth produces 3 Goblin Tokens, so there are 19 Goblins in deck, if count 3 goblins for each Kuldotha Rebirth. 19 goblins is plenty enough goblins.

Changes: Turned 1 Signal Pest, 1 Gob War Driver(leaving 2 behind of each), into 2 Phyrexian Metamorphs

Changed, updated Deck Breakdown, in the Deck Description. PLEASE READ the Deck Breakdown, and the Deck Description, the NOTE, and the Deck Build,Process,Strategy,Technique,Note section.

Some Cool things that Stromkirk Noble, Phyrexian Metamorph, Immolating Soul Eater, deck does.

Stromkirk a 9/9 by turn 5,if dropped turn 1.

Copy a Steel Hellkite with Phyrexian Metamorph, then Goblin Grenade other players Hellkite.

Immolating Souleater + Assault Strobe, + Fling, for 21 to 36 damage on turns 2,3,4

8 6/6 Goblins by,on turn 5

Swing with 6 Goblin Tokens, 1 Goblin Wardriver, 1 signal Pest, 1 Goblin Chieftain for 7 4/4 goblins, 1 3/3 Chieftain, 1 1/1 Signal Pest, for 32 damage on turn 3,4

when u cast adaptive automaton, what do you make it into?

January 25, 2012 7:02 p.m.

mikedh1 says... #24

Thanks for the comment, question, and the +1. I usually choose for Automaton to be a Goblin, unless I have 3 memnites out, or 2 Signal Pest, or 2,3 of any other creatures that have same creature types, to give them the +1 bonus.

But if don't have any common creatures types, or Goblins out, I still choose Goblin, because in this deck, goblins come out in a hurry, even if there are no goblins already in play.

Its nice to see that your not like the last guy who thinks the deck must have 4 of each card and 60 cards, and that Automaton's, and Stromkirk's dont belong.

Since you commented, here are some cool combo's in the deck, for you and others.

Stromkirk Noble + Wardriver(or Pest) + Chieftain(or Automaton) Curse of stalked Prey + Assault Strobe + Fling = extremely big Noble, by turn 5, and about 30 damage.

Kuldotha + artifact = 3 Gob tokens + War Driver(or Pest) Chieftain(or Automaton) + Curse of stalked Prey = swing with 5,6 4/4 for 20 to 24 damaqge on turn 4.

Spikeshot Elder + Wardriver + Pest + Chieftain(or Automaton) + curse of stalked prey + Assault Strobe + Gob Grenade = 5/5 Spikeshot Elder by turn 4,5, that does 5 burn damage to player, doublestrikes player for 10 more damage, then sac the spikeshot elder to Gob Grenade or Fling 5 more burn to other player, for 20 total damage by Spikshot Elder in 1 turn

Chandra + a 5/5 Goblin, + Assault strobe, + Grenade or Fling = double strike for 10 damage, Grenade for 5 damage, reverberate for 5 more damage, for 20 total damage.

Immolating Soul eater + 4 artifact, + Kuldotha + Assault Strobe + Fling + Grenade + Chandra + Galvanic Blast = Pump Soul Eater to 9, double strike for 18 damage, Swing with 2 to 4 other 2/2 to 4/4 creatures for about 10 more damage, fling for 9 more damage Everberate for 9 more damage, Kuldotha create 3 goblin tokens, or sac a goblin already out to grenade for 5 more damage, Galvanic Blast for 4 more damage, for about 57 damage on turns 5 to 9.

3 artifacts + Chandra + Galvanic Blast = 8 damage without having to sac a goblin

Thanks again for the comment, question. Hope you like the answer, and some of the sick twisted awesome combo's the deck has.

Please Keep on commenting, asking questions, helping, + 1's if you like the deck ya all.
