Chandra, Purifying Flame

Most see fire as nothing more than fury. But it is so much more. Fire is emotion. It is passion. It is conviction, it is action, it is warmth and welcoming and home. It is vengeance, it is defiance, it is love. It takes a true pyromancer to understand the depth of what fire is.

Chandra saw the fury of fire like most. Her planeswalker spark ignited out of rage and grief and raw, unbent emotion. But it took her years to learn the true depths of the fire she wields. It took years for her to recognise the vulnerability in emotion, the passion behind every flame, to learn when to burn, when not to burn, to learn how to burn cold and white and blue, and for it to nearly devour everything. She was tempered in love and defiance, in her return to Kaladesh and the scars of her past, in her rising relationship with Nissa, and her determined defiance of an aeons-old dragon. Now, Chandra truly understands her fire; and nothing is more awe-inspiring that a pyromancer that has mastered their craft and understanding of the volatile element purified.

Chandra is a confident, defiant pyromancer; a true heart of fire, born of passion, conviction, determination, love, and vulnerability. Every one of them makes her stronger. And everywhere she goes, she wields fire, fire, and fire in every facet.
