I like the concept, but I'm pretty sure you're original concept would work fine. With Undying mechanic, things technically go to the graveyard and back to the battlefield, so EOB effects apply.

Nah, I looked it up and the only way it would work is if I play Vexing Devil, and then immediately as it enters the battlefield, I give it Undying Evil. Basically, I have to give it Undying before my opponent chooses to take 4, or let it stay. Technically it would still work, but much less efficiently.

Hmm, why can you not put the Undying Evil on top of the stack after the opponent chooses? Is it too late at that point?

Yeah. As soon as he chooses to take four, the effect resolves. I wish it wasn't that way, but it is. Postmortem Lunge still works well on turn 2 or even 3, however.

Maybe a Fling or two? It works great with Vexing Devil, because you can make them take 4 no matter what. Also works if your Stromkirk Noble gets decently sized.

While I see your point, what would I take out? It is a guaranteed 4 for 3 mana, but in this deck, especially with all the recycling cards I'm using, I feel like cheap burns are often times more useful. Vexing Devil is definitely expendable, and if they let him stay near late game, Fling would probably be a game ender, but at that point any burn probably would do the job just as well.

You could throw in a one of to replace Thunderous Wrath. While I think that's a great card, it isn't as 100% reliable, and Fling does almost the same amount of damage. I would playtest it and see if you like it in there.
April 24, 2012 10:50 a.m.
I would play 4 thunderous wrath's and 4 noxious revivals. And maybe some faithless lootings. you can get any card you discard back with the revival and discard the wraths to get them back to the top...

@esterk The Noxious Revival s are able to recycle my Thunderous Wrath pretty well. So long as it isn't in my opening hand, it's a 5 damage bomb just waiting to happen. I'll give Fling a try though.
@Skaharra Hmm. I don't know about 4 Thunderous Wrath, however taking out Postmortem Lunge for 2 more Noxious Revival s is something I was already thinking about. What I really like is Faithless Looting. I can't believe I missed how well that works with the rest of the deck. Great idea! What would you recommend I take out, though? For Faithless Looting?

Because when Vexing Devil enters the battlefield, it's ability goes on the stack immediately. The ability resolves the instant the opponent chooses to either take 4, or let it stay. So the only way it would work, is if I give it Undying Evil before they choose. This way, they will almost always let it stay, instead of being forced into taking 8.

Sure, but it provides more protection for putting him on the battlefield if you need the creature. It can also be used if they let him resolve then try to Doom Blade or something else.

It's not a bad idea, but that means I would have to drop something else, and I had a hard enough time dropping burns for Faithless, haha. With Faitless and Noxious, I have great graveyard play.

I'm not using Wolfrun anymore, so Rootbound Crag isn't needed. If you're referring to Ancient Grudge, that sideboard is anything but complete. And Pillar of Flame will be a sideboard card.
April 26, 2012 3:13 p.m.
love budget aggro decks, make sure you get Pillar of Flame in there, at least in the sideboard, to keep undying creatures from being a pain.

I was planning on getting around to the sideboard, but you're right, Pillar of Flame was one of my first picks.

I think Pyreheart Wolf would be a better fit than Cryptborn Horror. It's more reliable (it's not dead in your hand if you don't do damage in a turn), can play defense, and helps damage go through.
I think you'd be better off running more threats than creature boosters. card:Krenko's Command and Wild Guess don't seem to fit in here.

I was already debating switching out Cryptborn Horror for Pyreheart Wolf , I just liked the 4/4 Trample on turn 3. (But like you said, unreliable.) If I drop creature boosters like Dynacharge and Banners Raised , then yeah, card:Krenko's Command doesn't make sense anymore. I was probably going to drop Banners Raised anyways, but I really like Dynacharge . I would consider dropping a card:Krenko's Command, however.

very nice! I love how effect Dynacharge is in aggro decks! I think card:Krenko's Command is fine with the boosters. perhaps consider Stonewright
