This is a black rush sac deck. The idea is to get out a bunch of cheap creatures and hurl them at your opponent, without worrying about them getting hurt, or perhaps even benefiting from it. I decided to ditch the whole idea of hand control associated with rats in favor of persistent board presence.

The things I'd currently considering switchingDemonlord of Ashmouth for either Bloodgift Demon, Harvester of Souls or Reaper from the Abyss. I like the idea of having a decently sized drop, and they all sort of fit. That some of them have flying is also a plus.

I'm also considering switching Gravepurge for Immortal Servitude. Gravepurge is slightly more versatile, but Immortal Servitude is extremely efficient.

Cards like Drainpipe Vermin and Typhoid Rats are my early drops, and they fit well with Ogre Slumlord and Pack Rat. However, I'm beginning to think that unless I plan to make this a hand control deck, I should ditch the Ravenous Rats and Drainpipe Vermin in favor of a different small black creature.

Blood Artist is to capitalize on my creature loss, and cards like Disciple of Griselbrand, Altar's Reap and Barter in Blood help me use my creatures more fully.

The other important aspect of this deck is speed- that's the thought process behind Underworld Connections and Altar's Reap. Also why I'm considering Bloodgift Demon.

Any suggestions appreciated!
