Uses Soulflayer's ability to delve out creatures such as
Chromanticore
, Sylvan Caryatid, and Pharika, God of Affliction to make a big creature really early on.
CREATURES:
Soulflayer- the basis of this deck. Really quite a good card, as, in theory, it can be on the field ready to rock by turn 3.
Chromanticore
- the other half of a pretty decent combo, it manages to not only be great to delve onto Soulflayer, but it is also playable in this deck, as both a creature and an enchantment. Really just an incredible card.
Sylvan Caryatid- the real powerhouse of the deck. Not only is it giving me more mana to play, if it ends up in the graveyard I can delve it's hexproof ability onto Soulflayer
Sidisi, Brood Tyrant- great for putting pressure on the opponent. With all the creatures (hopefully) being chucked into the graveyard, it gives me some options with some zombie tokens.
Pharika, God of Affliction- good both on the field and off the field. Gives Soulflayer a nice indestructible ability, or it gives me some token spawning ability if I put her onto the field instead.
Satyr Wayfinder- Helps me pull a land if I need it, while also putting more of my cards into the graveyard to help out my delve abilities.
Tasigur, the Golden Fang- A really great option for both field presence and late game options. His delve ability makes him a really easy early game play, while his other ability makes for some solid options later game
SPELLS:
Commune with the Gods- Puts up to 5 cards into the graveyard for me, while also helping me pull the creatures I want ahead of time.
Sultai Charm
- a suggestion from a friend, this card helps me remove
Chromanticore
from my hand if I need to, as well as being a possible removal spell. Also a solid way to get rid of that pesky Whip of Erebos
Hero's Downfall- the best removal spell in standard right now, letting me clear out pesky Planeswalkers and creatures that are giving me a hard time
Murderous Cut- An easy removal spell, with delve I could only be paying (B) to get a creature out of my way
