The Scarab God has synergy with a lot of different play styles, including mill and counters. Mill an opponent's Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger ? Now you can get that bad boy for only 4 mana...and it's still indestructible because of the Scarab God's rule text. Excellent. Counter their The Locust God ? Now you can get your duo God on for once again only 4 mana.

Two good cards that work great together are Rooftop Storm and Arcane Adaptation . Name Zombie for Arcane and this basically makes all your creature spells free. Been thinking about a Vedalken Orrery to maximize this ability but haven't picked it up yet. In addition, these two enchantments out on the board with our commander make it so all of our creatures trigger for the Scarab God's drain effect but more importantly it allows us to scry deeper into our deck, so we can get to our goodies faster.
