This deck is actually an evolution of a deck I was using last night. The original deck used nightveil specters and attempted to steal cards of my opponent. When in one of my games i stole my friends guttersnipe, i had the greatest idea ever. With each cipher they are being cast from exile and the keyword is cast.
The goal here is to get an unblockable, preferably the invisible stalker since it also has hexproof. A guttersnipe onto the field, and start chaining ciphers dealing the 2 damage on each cast, and again when you swing with the unblockable. The greatest thing about this is if you have hidden strings in your hand since you can chain them for as many as you have.
Turn 1 > Steam Vents/Blood Crypt
Turn 2 > other land (the one that isnt on the first dual, if its a shock pay the shock) > Invisible Stalker
Turn 3 > Third land > Guttersnipe > swing for 1
Turn 4 > Hidden strings > Hidden strings > Paranoid delusions/Hands of binding = 6 dmg > swing stalker > 7 dmg (14 total)
Turn 5 > swing for game, any more casts is just icing on the cake.
This version can also be done a bit more safely if you have a 4th land on turn 4 and draw a Temporal Mastery which will allow you to perform your turn 5 without letting you opponent have a turn 4/5. Another version would be if you have 2 guttersnipes.
Turn 4 > guttersnipe > swing 1 (2 total)
Turn 5 > Hidden strings > Hidden strings > Paranoid Delusions/hands of binding = 12 dmg > swing for 13 (27 total)
Everything else in the deck is there in case the game goes to mid game because they get rid of an early guttersnipe or something. The Consuming Aberration to mill them out which works the same way as guttersnipes in this deck. Plus if you run across a deck that can slow this one down, i suggest throwing in a fling for the aberration, fling a 30/30 creature? Sure thing!
