Good idea, and it helps me tap out getting Braids out the first time without leaving me completely vulnerable and manaless. Will look into dropping it in.

I mention at the beginning a side board for switching from french ban list to normal edh. In French Banlist its important to note two cards in the deck and sideboard. Emrakul, the Aeons Torn isn't banned. Sol Ring is banned. If you have any suggestions for the side board for when I play traditional that would be a good replacement I'm open to it.

Capsize for that repeatable "oh that's a nice __ you just dropped for free.... Now back to your hand it goes" Arcane Laboratory just to keep them from casting a bunch of stuff all at once, I mean you don't care as long as you capsize/counterspell on their turn as your one spell they can't do a damn thing. Elite Arcanist also gives you reliable repeatability to any one instant, so does Isochron Scepter just not adjustable like the arcanist. Protection for braids? Lightning Greaves ,Whispersilk Cloak and Diplomatic Immunity all come to mind. Unfortunately emerakul is banned

Another Emrakul comment. Alright, I think for clarity I'm going to update the top of my description so that people know the difference between French Ban List and regular EDH rules.
Love your advice, and several of these I know are going in without a doubt. I already debated Isochron Scepter , but just figured it wasn't reliable enough. Elite Arcanist though is awesome. Most of your other cards are probably going in no questions asked once I figure what's worth dropping.

No need to apologize, helped me improve the description for clarification. Sometimes I go over an important point in my writing and don't put proper emphasis on those items leading to confusion. The fact I got multiple comments in a single day regarding it proves I was unclear.
Thanks for helping and if you think of anymore suggestions are feel like backing a suggestion I turned down feel free to comment. I may run Eldrazi Titans but I am puny human who makes mistakes.

... And before anyone points out my grammar mistakes on my last post I repeat "I am puny human who makes mistakes,"

What about Master Transmuter to sneak out your blightsteel/darksteel colossus at you opponents EOT
June 5, 2014 12:54 p.m.
Me likey. I'll add it to the list, but I only have a handful of artifact cards in the deck, so if you have anymore artifact additions that would fit please say so that way the card will get more awesome use. Already ordered some cards to come in yesterday and going to wait a couple paychecks before ordering again. That and the other suggestions will likely be included when I do though.
June 5, 2014 2:52 p.m.
That will take some time to type out and as it is 30 min till I get off work it will have to wait till latter but fear not I've got at least 5 more artifacts in mind already and by this evening I should have 10-20 to suggest
June 5, 2014 2:59 p.m.
Ok first let me tell you a secret the way it's worded you reurn an artifact to your hand THEN put one from your hand into play! So you can return a Spine of Ish Sah then put it right back out and get the ETB effect again
June 5, 2014 3:11 p.m.
Thanks again for helping Kozelek... OHMYGOD I'M BEING HELPED BY ONE OF MY CARDS!!
For a plane-consuming monster he's surprisingly pleasant to talk to. This changes my entire outlook on everything ever.
June 5, 2014 3:12 p.m.
Oh snap (off topic non artifact but a must have for braids) you need to add Paradox Haze enchant yourself and pop out 2 things for free
June 5, 2014 3:27 p.m.
Ok abuse of master transmuter: first she can bounce/unsummon herself to avoid wrath/path,. Next Gilded Lotus , tap for 3 blue use 1 to bounce lotus and tap again for 3 more netting 5 mana per turn off you lotus. That brings me to Mana Vault plays out for 1 taps for 3 then put it back in yor hand to put out something bigger and use 1 of the mana it tapped for to play it back out. Next Planar Portal can be dropped for 1 blue mana and then searches for whatever you need to win. Artifact lands Darksteel Citadel and Seat of the Synod can both be dropped out (as a second land per turn) or used to bounce back to your hand to put out something more deadly. Spine of Ish Sah (already explained that one). Phyrexian Metamorph can become anything (almost) and when you tire of what it is bounce it and it becomes something else. Solemn Simulacrum bounce him for 1 blues a to search for a land and put into play. Bident of Thassa feeds your opponents small fries to your big guys.Thassa, God of the Sea (Not an artifact but still good) lets you scry every turn (twice if you have the haze out) not to mention makes your fatties unblockable. Ok that's 10 artifacts for you to conciser now I'm going to bed now if I think of more (witch I'm likely to do) I'll post more tomorrow
June 6, 2014 12:46 a.m.
Ok one more Staff of Nin personally I don't like it cause it costs 6 mana but for this deck I think playing it out for free/U it can be advantageous to have a personal Howling Mine (the Rod of Ruin 1/2 is just icing on the free cake there
June 6, 2014 12:55 a.m.
Oh where to start with all these. I'll start with the mana ramp. For obvious reasons I was running 40 lands not because I wasn't confident that I could get 4 mana on turn 4 with less, but because I wanted to ramp with Braids ability so I could cast more counters, or pull off a cast ability or multiple artifact/creatures per turn. Gilded Lotus and Mana Vault will likely be used to replace land.
One of the advantages of blue decks that I don't feel I've taken adequate advantage of is draw power. Staff of Nin though, which I also normally feel its too pricey fits well as well as Thassa, God of the Sea , and both abilities I can activate before my Braids's ability. Solemn Simulacrum provides some solid ramp that I can bounce or allow to die for draw power. Planar Portal while not necessarily draw, provides a solid tutor which considering the cards and nature of the deck should almost always be able to bring my opponents to their knees. Bident of Thassa is solid for draw, and I didn't even think about the feeding mechanic I can use on that. Best part is it rids me of cards like Sigarda, Host of Herons . I have 9 promos of that, don't ask, so that will be an easy addition.
I hadn't realized artifact lands would actually have a place in this deck. Best part is they don't slow down my game play even a little bit, so there's no reason not to add those two for the bounce. Phyrexian Metamorph is a better/worse version of Body Double , but since I don't run mill he's clearly better since I will be able to copy their artifacts as well as probably not having filled their graveyards with a lot of threats but rather the field. The bounce potential is just the icing on the cake.

See for a mindless plain eating monster of epic proportions I'm fairly smart and have all around good advice (most days anyway)
June 6, 2014 6:48 a.m.
Ok next one my seem like it would be a dead card but it's really not if you use it right, Eye of Ugin first off I know it's a land that does not produce any mana however if you decide you want to hard cast any of your eldrazi to get the "when you cast" ability to trigger it reduces the cost to cast them by 2 AND once you have the mana it's another way to tutor (blue is short on tutors IMO) speaking of tutors Fabricate is a good artifact tutor that is cheap and affordable
June 6, 2014 9 a.m.
Eye of Ugin isn't bad, but I'll probably prioritize buying other cards first and get it around when I finish the deck.
June 6, 2014 2:46 p.m.
Yikes I just checked and it's $25 I busted my 2 out of boosters
June 6, 2014 2:51 p.m.
That's part of why I was saving it for last. A nice finishing touch land, but I can get 10 other cards to improve the overall consistency of the deck for the same price. I will add it probably during Gen Con, since that's when I like getting my more expensive cards since I can be assured of the quality there ( I've had once had a 'near mint' card turn out to be heavily used, though they tried to blame it on shipping).
Kozelek says... #1
Lotus Bloom you can put it directly into play
