An old-fashioned deck that is basically a zillion counterspells. Something like this was a common tournament deck around the time of the Tempest expansion, which was current when i started playing Magic. Its tough to beat, and very annoying to play against! Its strength is that counterspells are the single most versatile defence against any opposing strategy, whether that is based on creatures, enchantments, artifacts, combos etc etc. To clear up any permanents that do manage to sneak past the counterspell barrage, you have Nevinyrall's Disk. To give card advantage you have Whispers of the Muse. To win the game, you have Morphling. I am lucky to actually own a couple of Force of Wills ! Picked these up many years ago when they werent crazy expensive and i am fortunate that i didnt trade them away... (note that since this deck shows actual cards i own, it only has 2 FoW's! more of course would be better). Jace the Mind Sculptor would be an awesome fit for this deck, but i just cant bring myself to outlay $100 for a single card...
