chapter 1, the pilgrimage

"Ellie, Ellie, wake up" I say, gently shaking my friend. "Today is the day, we have to go on our pilgimage, we get to leave the Glimmerpost"

"Finally," she says sleepilly, "where should we go?"

"I thought we could find the secrets off the Arcbound Worker s that maintain upkeep on on the Glimmerpost, and learn how to create them so we can stop using the clockwork power, i actually found this Expedition Map showing us the locations of urza's secrets, Urza's Tower, Urza's Mine , and Urza's Power Plant."

"interesting, learning to make arcbound power would make us worthy to join the master creators, let's go"

chapter 2, journey to the mine

We set out to find Urza's Mine , according to our map, hidden within the rainforest to the west of the Glimmerpost. After 2 days travel into the Forest, our Clockwork Steeds begin to sink

"Quicksand" Ellie yells "grab onto one of the hanging vines, and unwind your horse, it will stop struggling and we'll sink slower!" She yells as she unwinds her horse "we can make more from the materials in the mine"

"Alright," i say, fishing out a slightly different idea from my pack, since i can find no vines within reach, and as i wind up my Clockwork Condor to fly to safety, the Quicksand started sucking at my feet, and Ellie had managed to climb to safety

"FLY!" i shout and my Clockwork Condor takes wing, carrying me with it

"clever, using your condor like that, too bad things like condor's springs break when you overuse them" Ellie says after we've put some distance between the Quicksand, "lets hope we don't run into any more, we can never become tinkermasters and learn the secrets of creating the Clockwork Swarm if we don't learn anything about our craft, even less so if we die."

"of course, look ahead, i think that's the mine"

as we enter the mine, i see odd glowing veins in the walls, similar to the bindings of the Arcbound Worker s

"I think that we need these minerals for the arcs in the arcbound creations" Ellie says simply, pulling out her Clockwork Gnomes and their small pickaxes to harvest the arc stones

Chapter 3, the Power Plant

"according to the map, the power plant is deeper in the mine, we should continue deeper," I say to Ellie as she packs up her gnomes.

As we venture further into the mine, we see arbound workers mining the arcstone, and bugs we deemed Arcbound Stinger s carrying them to higher areas to continue to mine, and we begin to see the rocks in the cave running into steel walls, we must be getting close to the power plant, as we enter, we see a large power generator.

"this must be where the arcbounds receive their power, this must be where we put the pieces, and we put the materials here, but how do we work it?" Ellie questions.

"i think I've got it, we shape the materials and then we set them up here, put in the arcstone here, and then we can build whatever we want in arcbound power

i decided to try to make something with the arcbound power, so i began to assemble some spare metal i found into a somewhat humanoid shape and loaded it into the machine with arcstone, what came out was a mash up of metal that did not come out like my design, so i decided to try again, with similar results.

"I think we need to get urza's journals from the tower," Ellie says

Chapter 4, the secret of the tower

as we leave the mine we begin to go farther west to the tower, we enter the Haunted Fengraf listed on the map

"there's no way to avoid this is there?" Ellie says nervously, "is that grave moving?" she continues to question.

"no, its just a stray Clockwork Beetle , i wonder how it got out here?"

"that would be my fault," an old man lurking behind a grave walks out and says

"G-g-gh-GHOST!" Ellie screams.

"yes, but you needn't fear me, i am here to help you, my name is Urza,"

"why are you here?" I ask bluntly

"To warn you, you should turn back now, before you find the secret of the arcbound,"

"No, i will never abandon my pilgriage, i will find the secret you left, whether or not you want us to!" Ellie screams at the ghost of Urza, "We're leaving now," Ellie says as she pulls me by the wrist out of the fengraf.

as we approach the tower, we see two Arcbound Bruiser s guarding the entrance

"we need to take them out," Ellie says, "the Clockwork Condor should work, wind them up," she says

"ATTACK!" we shout as we finish winding our condors and they charge, my condor begins to rip apart the Arcbound Bruiser piece by piece, as the arcs that hold it together are quite weak compared to the ripping strength of the condors we use for combat. as the bonds break, they begin to fuse together with the other Arcbound Bruiser that Ellie is attacking making it much more powerful and crushed the condor with its powerful fists, watching this we realized that the only way to get in was to sneak by while we had the chance

as we entered we saw lots of stairs, and lots of Arcbound Stinger s.

"we run," Ellie says as she begins to run up the stairs. I follow suit and run, being chased by the Arcbound Stinger s as we run, swatting them out of the way as they stung us shattering and reforming to make more powerful bugs.

at the top we found a small room with a door that seemed to be resistant to the arc energies, as we entered we found many journals.

we spent 3 days in the room poring over the information in the journals, until we found the information that we needed, and when she found it, she looked shocked

"the power plant has lost almost all of its power, to refuel it we need..."

chapter 5, the spark of power

"A planeswalker's soul" Ellie shuddered "all arcbound creations need the soul of a planeswalker like Urza to power it, that is how Urza died, powering the power plant," She continued

"then how do we power it?" I ask

"we need the rest of Urza's soul, he barely managed to survive, but we need to build it in the glimmerpost, we can't repower the old one.

as we arrived back, having captured urza's soul in a bottle, we began construction with the Clockwork Gnomes under the scrutiny of the council of creations, but we were never investigated thoroughly.

as we finished and powered up the plant, our first creation, an Arcbound Bruiser , to guard the plant from further investigation. But nevertheless, the council continued to investigate how we created the arcbound, and eventually they found out the secret from their agents who infiltrated

Chapter 6, the council

"you cannot continue to make creations using the souls of living creatures, it is against regulations," says the third member of the triumvirate council.

"We are shutting down the Arcbound operation and destroying all arcbound creations, including those servicing the Glimmerpost before the construction of your plant," states the second member

"No, I have worked too hard and survived too much too stop now, Arcbound Bruiser s, Arcbound Stinger s, kill them

" Clockwork Swarm rip their creations apart piece by piece," says the leader of the triumvirate, opening his cloak and releasing a swarm of clockwork insects that begin to rip the arcbound creations apart, and then began to reassemble as part of other arcbound creations that the swarm can't destroy.

"What, the arcbounds can rebuild themselves as part of other beings!" worries the second member of the triumvirate, backing toward the evidence

"Swarm, duplicate," commands the leader, increasing the size of the swarm, giving it the necassary power to destroy the rest of the arcbound

"You know nothing of the arcbound, their power can also fuse them to living creatures, such as myself," Ellie says as she assembles the arcbound pieces onto her body creation the most powerful armor i've ever seen

"You're mad," I say sneaking to the control panel to use the arcbound emergency shutoff.

The Clockwork Swarm continued to attack Ellie as i pulled the switch to turn off the arcbound creations

Ellie was trapped in the arcbound armor, slowly dieing from the lack of oxygen. there was no way to save her without reactivating the arcbound, the thing that made her mad with power. we couldn't save her, she was doomed, and it was all...my...fault i thought as i gave my planeswalker soul to the power plant.
