Sideboard

Infect. A controversial mechanic. The main upside of this deck is simple: the opponent's life total is cut in half. So what's the game plan? Simple:

  1. Play infect dude
  2. Attack with dude
  3. Pump dude
  4. Win!

Of course, there's a lot more nuance to the deck, what to play first, when to attack, how to play spells and in what order, etc., etc.

But things get neat after the sideboard. As you can see, there's some Geist of Saint Traft in the sideboard. In my experience, a lot of people board in spot removal, and Geist has hexproof, which is nice. The only downside is that Geist can be blocked, but that's why we have pump spells!

Updates Add

What a crazy update! ~~I'll probably be going to MagicFest Dallas-Fort Worth, so~~ I wanted to get my favorite modern deck up to speed! How exciting!
EDIT: It's a damn shame, but it is looking very unlikely that I'll be headed to DFW. I will 100% be at MagicFest Phoenix, whatever format that may be.
