This is my R/U SoulBlade I am ready to present what I hope will bring a new competitive build that was already ear-marked as top tier possibility then abandoned by brewing guru's early on before Khan's. Ghostfire Blade inspired Tod Anderson to make his version but it didn't fare well and again it seemed to be abandoned. I feel that the original R/U Ensoul was missing some stitching but showed promise and I never gave up on the deck. Khan's gave us 2 key cards to fix alot of the decks weak spots and those cards are Stubborn Denial and Ghostfire Blade. These cards really add strength to this deck as denial is turned on 90% of the time being a negate for 1 and protecting our early pressure investment/win con. Hay saying no to abzan charm exile mode or a Dissolve or any removal for 1 blue feels good. So often the game hinges on that response as the next swing followed by shrapnel blast is game over. Next there is Ghostfire blade, casts and attaches for 1 to most things and attached to a revoker you have a 4/3 thats shutting down something and giving ferocious for denial. Now Fate Reforged gives us Cloudform and Hewed Stone Retainers for starters and an instant speed double strike known as Temur Battle Rage allowing a turn 3 or 4 stubborn denial to end with double strike. Think Renowned Weaponsmith is wierd and whats up with fetching heart peircing bow of STOP.. who cares, his first ability does loads for us like casting retainers for 1 or ghostfire blade and equiping it in 1 turn no mana tapping or revoker for free or a drum and blade. Now look at cloudform, hint you play scry lands with this in hand or attack with aqueous form and see a thopter or revoker...keep ontop cast cloudform for a flying hexproof ensoul ghostfire blade target that names well Ugin cant be activated for instance. Game 2 don't feel the digs and wanna drop a denial or 2, how about two more cloudform and Thassa come to the party. With all these UU1 enchants and ensoul and weaponsmith and aqueous form, Thassa herself can turn on if you want or we will just scry every turn and make unblockable nightmares.
