Check your description Ensoul Artifact makes a 5/5 creature not a 4/4. :3

thanks havent played this yet myself only against it so it was an oversight. I got the idea from a Jerry Thompson article then it disappeared then I played against a version of this at FNM 2 weeks later and I love it. I think it will do well after rotation. I wish I had access to Gerry's build but its gone and currently this decks not in play on MTGO or any opens top 16 lists. Doing my best to sew it together

Obelisk of Urd seems out of place. what creature type would you call?

yeah, artifact is a card type, obelisk looks for a creature type. "creature type" looks for things after the hyphen, often called sub-types, card-type is to the left of the hyphen, artifact, creature, enchantment, land, planeswalker, instant, sorcery.... where subtype is things like arcane, elf, dwarf, construct, gate.

you have 24 lands, why not sideboard Mindswipe .. Depending on the speed of the opponents deck it may be beneficial to run a burn/counter option

Hello, i'm running a deck similar to yours with slight changes.
Check my deck later Bringing Machines to Life..
For yours, i would move the Phyrexian Revoker
to sideboard add more Chief Engineer
and maybe some burns like Lightning Strike
, some control like AEtherspouts
or even that new equipment Ghostfire Blade
.
Playing with a deck like this, i've felt pretty screwed when didn't draw Doom Machine or Ensoul, so adding some responses may help.
+1 from me for the world domination thing! hehe.

I do like and want another AEtherspouts in here. I don't want to pull out any creature though. I am set I think on magma jet instead of lightning strike for better draws. As you said when you didnt draw an engine or ensoul you felt naked. In response to the subject of the quantity of engineer in the deck, well the less artifacts I have in the build the less useful he becomes when I need 4 generator servants already I cant afford 4 more non artifact creatures it defeats his purpose. I have 23 creatures and need at least 17 of them to be artifact or he just isnt effective. @Soldcastro I did use some of your advice.

So my initial thoughts on hammer are main until I see what im up against because gen servants have haste and then so dose doom engine. Gen servants getting wacked while sick is bad. I want howl of the horde in hammers place in any bad match ups and ghostfire blade instead of magma jet in cases where my opponent has no 1 or 2 toughness creatures in the case of caryatid, courseir exc. Not sure if mindswipe belongs I feel its for a ramp RUG deck really and hard to play powerfully or efficiently. I just about talked myself out of it.

I see... I suggested one more Engineer to make sure you draw one, i run 4 of them for that reason.
Thassa, God of the Sea
is a good one isn't it?
Thanks for your thoughts, i'm looking forward to see the results of your matches. :D

Not ready for matches yet. It needs better average hands that work toward combo fast. Its drawing to willy nilly for me. Maybe Thassa will make it a little better. Leaning back towards Chandra too for her 0 and her ult isn't shabby with shrapnel either. @Soldcastro My point on engineer was with every addition of him there is 1 less artifact making him that less likely to be useful. Also I don't care if he is in my opening hand as much as a servant ,citadel, thopter and ensoul or blast . I figure you only want him when your ready to end it with doom engine and need mana to cast it.

If we try I know we can get this deck tuned to where it always puts on pressure. Here is the dilema all this decks early game except ensoul lets our opponent have its way with us and servant and revoker and engineer are weak to burn and removal. I feel maybe just a dash of defensive 2 or 3 drop is nessesary to slow em down. I want a R/U Izzet Reckoner lol.

I think the meta will slow down a little because of the 3-colored decks wizards is trying to push on us, after all many of the lands enters the play tapped.
Maybe, this is the time we need...
Against those lightning fast decks i play Circle of Flame
on sideboard since most of their creatures have only 1 toughness. I also have Polymorphist's Jest
against heavy threats or to make the Engine pass.
With the Tomb you suggested we can recover a little of the HP lost early, keeping us on the game.
Control decks are our decks' nemesis since they have lots of removal and we don't have means to oppose it, (i was utterly defeated by one control mill deck on a FNM) but i don't think we will be facing controls in the near future because most decks are creature oriented right now. Maybe less creatures and some counters do the trick vs Control.
Man, a izzet reckoner would be nice, with it we could play thassa as a creature... hehe

I will run circle in here as I have been in R/W Devotion if Elspeth and Rabble red continue on but without makka or madcap or even ghor clan I dont see that deck winning anymore so I may wait on circles inclusion here. maybe the blue dictate is the way to go making thassa our reckoner and getting us the draw we need while scrying. @Soldcastro

Hmmm maybe that works, with it we won't be running dry of cards easily and have another 5/5 indestructible in play.
Worth trying.

maybe you can swap the hammer for another ensoul or that golem
i think Just one feels out of place.

1 hammer is good it gives haste to gen servant which makes him better , you can ensoul it and you can turn unwanted mountains later on into 3/3 haste artifact golems and haste really is good on doom engine especially when casting it before turn 6.

p.s ensouling a citadel makes an indestructibe 5/5 turn 2. Nothing beats that except negate/nulify but if you go first.

Does anyone like U/R anymore? I'm not even getting veiws.
ColdHeartedSith says... #1
There will be 1 less temple and reef when T.O lets my put my 2x Tomb of the spirit dragon in here. pay 2 and gain 1 life for each artifact you control.
