@Walrusyn - After I saw Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker I instantly thought of this deck. Do you think it is possible to run it over chandra. Or do you think it works well with both? Or do you think he shouldn't even be included. He's 5 mana but with all the card draw I think I can achieve 5 land on turn 5 generally easily.

The new Sarkhan is great indeed. Not sure if he fits modern decks, though. Have you tested it yet? Nothing like a couple of tests :)

I have tested a couple times and it does suck getting him too early. But if drawn at the right time he is good for damage, control, or card advantage. Although it may be more worthwile to just deep the Deprive s in there.

Hmm Electrolyze is a good card. Probably why I already have it in the deck LOL. Treasure Cruise weakens Spellheart Chimera and I'm trying to stay away from delver. Thanks for suggestions!

Sorry, didn't see the Electrolyze. Also Spellheart Chimera eats bolts like few things else in Modern. What about Snapcaster Mage?

That's what all the counter spells are for and Mizzium Skin. I also can't really afford Snapcaster I don't even own the sideboard yet. Just for show

I tend to prefer Vapor Snag over Unsummon. It brings you that much closer to the kill. Unsummon is an annoying tempo loss, but vapor snag furthers your game plan. sure unsummon can be used defensively, but vapor snag can too. I usually end up using snag offensively 4/5ths of the time anyway.

also Delver of Secrets  Flip and / or Monastery Swiftspear would fit in here perfectly

Thank you Grimgrinner! Like I said earlier, I'm trying to stay away from delver. Monastery Swiftspear could be interesting. And as for Vapor Snag; I have been testing with both that and Unsummon I alternate them regularly

Vapor Snag is strictly better than Unsummon.

Nef says... #11

It's not "strictly" better. Unsummon is better defensively.

Read the cards. Vapor Snag does the same exact thing except they lose a life.

Stop being ignorant lol. If I use it on my own creature I would be losing life. So you're telling me that I should want to return a creature to my hand and lose life instead of just returning it to my hand. Vapor Snag is better probably 85% of the time but I really want to protect Spellheart Chimera and in a deck like this every point of life matters for me.

Don't you think Treasure Cruise would be nuts in this deck? Especially since you aren't playing Snapcaster Mage.

I would if Spellheart Chimera wasn't a huge part to this deck.

Taigam's Scheming for card filtering and growing your chimera?

Manamorphose and Gitaxian Probe could also be quite useful.

Taigam's Scheming is a card I overlooked previously but could be pretty interesting to put in the deck.
Gitaxian Probe is already in the deck and is one of the most important cards in it. Manamorphose could be a possibility as well.

Vapor Snag is strictly better than Unsummon. I do really enjoy this deck though, seems fun.

@GabeCubed - Cards are very rarely "strictly better" than other cards. I choose to run Unsummon over Vapor Snag because how important the creatures I have in this deck are to me. I don't wanna snag one of my creatures because every point of my life is important since it is a burn deck. I may end up switching it over time but as of right now I enjoy running Unsummon

Ohh.. I am used to returning cards to my opponents' hand. Never to my own. I guess so. In that case, it isn't.

@Walrusyn- So I'm getting ready to buy the final pieces to this deck. Chandra, Pyromaster is fun but is it worth it when I max exile a counter spell? I'm wondering if keranos would be a better addition. I am also wondering if I should get thenBatterskull any suggestions?

When I may* exile a counterspell

@GabeCubed - Whussup. So I've done a lot of editing to this deck and I have put in some Vapor Snag. This is due to the fact that I am now running 4x Clout of the Dominus. I may drop Vapor Snag altogether and look for another card to replace it or add more copies of cards that are in the deck. Any suggestions?

Seeing as you currently already took out the Snag, the deck looks really good. I kinda want to build this myself.

Also, two other things. 1. Rending Volley might be the card you want instead of Combust. 2. Blood Moon and no fetches seems a little bit awkward to me. I love the card, but with the current mana base, I am not 100% sure about it. Here is some info about Blood Moon. I would check this out.
