I have been favoring Combust over Rending Volley because of Siege Rhino q.q And I see what you're saying with Blood Moon. Maybe I should not have it in there but I think it is pretty good still. With blood moon out my deck has 9x island and 12x mountain. It doesn't hurt too bad and if I'm siding it in it will most likely be hurting my opponent even more.

I also kinda want to take Blood Moon out because I don't own any and they are $25 a piece. Any suggestions for replacements?

Not really sure on replacements. Just really depends on your meta and what you go against.

I added in Grafdigger's Cage and another Pyroclasm

Seems good to me. Have you thought about Young Pyromancer? I feel like it may be better than Frostburn Weird in this shell. With all the spells getting thrown around, you won't have to waste any mana on the Weird.

Heh just ditched pyromancer for the weird. The weird works 100x better with Clout of the Dominus and it also survives the 3x Pyroclasm in my sideboard whereas the Young Pyromancer would get wrecked by it.

Yeah, I can get behind that. I wonder if there would be any other good cards that can be there.. Maybe like Monastery Swiftspear? It would easily survive Pyroclasm and mix with the Clout.. only partially though.. noticing that now. I'll look into other creatures. Just makes sense to me to have a creature that interacts with the rest of the deck, like Delver of Secrets  Flip or something, as I name off like all of the U/R delver cards.

Yea I also don't want this to be a run of the mill deck either. I want to keep it unique :D

Exactly why I said that. I feel like there should be something.. To the database!

Hahaha xD Thank you for any suggestions you come up with. I'm off to play LoL xD

I found this card that may be pretty fun- Riverfall Mimic. Nivix Cyclops and Wee Dragonauts are always cool.

Elusive Spellfist, Augur of Bolas, Incursion Specialist. These are some other okay cards, but not multi-colored. I was trying to at least stay within 2 CMC.

Riverfall Mimic is basically a better Incursion Specialist. And I just really prefer multicolor creatures right now with the build I have

SoggyGecko says... #14

Understandable. Yeah, I was just trying to find cards that would survive a Pyroclasm and be affected by the spells.

Nef says... #15

Yah thanks for that :D But I think I have my creatures figured out. Frostburn Weird and Clout of the Dominus make Keranos a creature so I really want to keep that interaction in there I think.

SoggyGecko says... #16

Okay, I forgot about the devo it added. And I forgot about making Keranos a creature. Huh. Yeah, that's a thing. I like Keranos so much that I could care less about making it a creature.

Yeah it's just a great bonus to make a 6/5 indestructible. It helps close the game out too xD

SoggyGecko says... #18

Yes, that definitely would. Yay for the unexpected indestructible creatures!

@GabeCubed - I took out two Frostburn Weird as it is pretty useless to have more than one. I added in 2x Quicken. Not sure about them yet. Just testing.

In the sideboard, you should try Rending Volley instead of Combust

I run Combust for Siege Rhino because that bugger is hard to kill.

Delver of Secrets  Flip is much better than Spellheart Chimera. Frostburn Weird just seems pretty useless in general, and really isn't worth running in Modern for most decks. The best creatures for blue and red are Delver of Secrets  Flip, Snapcaster Mage, and Young Pyromancer. These guys will give you card/board advantage and put your opponent on a clock for very little mana investment. That means you can keep mana open to cast your instant spells and counter their game plan. Clout of the Dominus isn't really necessary at all in a deck with as few creatures as this. It'll be a dead draw quite often. I'd up Remand to 4 and if you can afford them run a few Cryptic Command, though no one will blame you if you can't. Here's my U/R deck: Mmmm... Blue Moon

I appreciate your comment but you're basically telling me to take the uniqueness out of my deck and make it a standard U/R delver list. And I just can't do that. I have enjoyed this list thoroughly. I have been thinking about Cryptic Command and when I can afford one I will definitely include it in the list.

The reason you run Combust is to bring it in against Splintertwin. The Rhino only costs 2 mana to kill either way, and Abzan doesn't run counterspells. Splinter twin, on the other hand, does and you also end up with one more mana. With Spell Snare in your deck that might mean that your last bolt resolves.

Also, you should try Monastery Swiftspears. In such a spell heavy deck, I assure you they'll do good.
