Well Torpor Orb stops ETB triggers from going on the stack.
So Eldrazi Mimic, Endless One, Eldrazi Skyspawner, Thought-Knot Seer and Drowner of Hope from the current Bant Eldrazi deck become much less scary threats.
The entire game plan of a Collected Company deck is ruined so long as you can deal with their Plan B of beatdown with Gavony Township.
It stops Primeval Titan and Pia and Kiran Nalaar from the RG Valakut ramp deck making them much slower.
Arcbound Ravager, one of the two big threats in Affinity just dies as it enters.
God what else, err, oh yeah xD. Snapcaster Mage just becomes an Ambush Viper for blue and Goblin Dark-Dwellers can't Boom/Bust you.
Literally the only creature in your deck that gets affected is Endless One. Considering how much I've just listed that gets blown out by it you definitely want 2 somewhere in your 75. I'd be tempted to say 1xMB and 1xSB.

@DomRedhawk: You make some fantastic points. I think I'll add at least two somewhere. Thank you for the suggestion.

Please please please get rid of the Hovermyr. If anything, just increase your threats and spells kite but for me, just me, get rid of them.

Spatial Contortion is removal. And it's 2 mana. REPLACE HOVERMYR NOW

Warping Wail instead of Hovermyr? On the play and being an instant, you can: (a) exile Snapcaster Mage or (b) counter a Languish or Declaration in Stone or (c) put an Eldrazi Scion that can either attack or be cracked for mana on Turn 3. Meaning, a Lodestone Golem or Quicksilver Amulet at turn 3/Emrakul at turn 4.

@raymond42n: Thanks for the suggestion of Warping Wail. You guys sure didn't like Hovermyr very much but I get the versatility of Warping Wail.

Not sure how well Lodestone Golem fits as it will make eldrazi, planeswalker, and warping wail cost 1 colorless more to cast. If you are trying to make it faster I would replace that with some form of search or ramp.

@A3therpush: Lodestone Golem is actually the most effective creature in the deck. The extra mana required for non-artifacts is almost negligible compared to slowing down my opponents. In a few cases, it has caused a loss but the wins I get from having him in the deck certainly outweighs the downside.

Where do we get the colorless mana to actually play Kozilek, the Great Distortion and Warping Wail? Will we need to run Wastes just to use them?

All of our lands produce colorless mana. Any land that produced colorless mana () in the produces the same mana a waste does. Wastes are just a basic land type is all.

Ah got it, I mistook it for generic mana thanks for the explanation.

I think you might want to consider using Eternal Scourge in this build. With so much mana, recasting it again for isn't a problem and it forces your opponent to trade in order to kill it most of the time.

What is Torpor Orb doing in the mainboard? Do you have any way to abuse it, or does it seriously come in handy that often?
SandyDufresne says... #1
@DomRedhawk: What am I looking to disrupt by using Torpor Orb? I happen to have a few but it has been years since I've had a chance to play it. I am currently in the middle of a massive overhaul to the creature section. Would it be better as a sideboard card or do you think I should mainboard it?
@Jack-Frost: When I get an Ugin, the Spirit Dragon, I will definitely add him and take out one Karn Liberated. I like the suggestion of Wurmcoil Engine but I'm going to add it as a sideboard card as a way of really changing things mid-round. And, as you can see, I added Conduit of Ruin and it is playtesting really well.
@Any others: What do you think of the overhaul? I think that adding Endless One gives me some fantastic options early, mid and late. Also, how did I miss Hovermyr? It is working really well for what I need it to do. Flying and vigilance is outstanding for my needs.
