For modern, this deck's not fast enough nor does it have enough ways to interact with opponents. If you're serious about the competitive tag you've selected, I suggest you ought to just drop splicers.

If you want to keep going with it, try Remand, Mana Leak, and Path to Exile. If you're not interested in a more control based approach, go with Thalia, Guardian of Thraben

Ok so I suppose I shouldn't have labeled it as competitive, its a little misleading. I honestly just want this to be a deck that's interesting and can hold up in tournaments at my LGS. I am going to keep the splicer in because I want it to be a splicer deck, thanks for the input though!

I'm not trying to belittle you or the deck. I was just concerned you were going to drop $500 into a deck and go to a major venue only to end up disappointed by your deck's performance.

A first major issue your deck has is that every splicer is at least 3 CMC. Getting some ramp would be important. Both Sylvan Caryatid and Birds of Paradise are good options. As I said before, you really ought to have at least the 4 copies of Path to Exile. Birthing Pod would be an upgrade to Mimic Vat.

Oh no I didn't think you were trying to belittle me I genuinely appreciate the fact that your helping me out :) and do you think birthing pod would be a good idea seeing as I don't have any two drops? I know that may be a dumb question.

Since pod tutors, you'd technically only need one if you're chaining from a 1-drop. You'd still like to be able start chaining from anywhere on your creature curve. If you do decide to include pod, you'll need to restructure your creatures a bit. It's hardly necessary here, however.

What do you think of reality shift instead of path to exiles in this deck? It can possibly help me get out a creature since this deck is fairly creature heavy or it could serve as great removal and give them a 2/2 that my golems should be able to manage.

Precursor Golem seems pretty dangerous to run if you aren't also adding instants to give protection, since it also applies to spells your opponents cast. One Victim of Night or Path to Exile and all your golems are gone. I will say, at 5 mana, it probably isn't worth running, but if you are set on it, include something like Gods Willing in the event that someone basically wipes your whole board presence with a spot removal spell.

I may be a little late considering the last comment made was "yeah im scrapping the deck" but I think Spellskite, Restoration Angel, and maybe bounce spells like Cloudshift, or Momentary Blink could do amazing things in here.

Those would all actually be great in here! I don't think I'm gonna make a physical copy of the deck but I will use it for deck simulators like forge because it is a fun deck to play against

I don't think running enter-tapped non-forest lands in a shell with 4 arbor elf 4 utopia sprawl is a good idea.
