PartyJ, I've been testing torment in my online lists to see how it's been going and so for it's been good at a finisher/near finisher. I took out grim tutor for it in my online lists. But otherwise, nothing else has really caught my eye.

Hi i was hoping you could highlight a few wincons for the deck (some of the guys i played didnt want to concede) and is there any good replacement for nethervoid and Chains of Mephistopheles

xLouDx There are two main ways to win. One is with staxing them out, so having Possessed Portal on the board for as long as possible is an example here and win with beats from there. The other is Squirrelcraft, so Earthcraft and Squirrel Nest make a kik-jiki like combo to make infinite creatures.

To answer you other question, there really isn't a replacement for them. So, I'd go with Night's Whisper for the card draw and Mind Slash for the utility.

The bigger issue is not single target, it's my Naus/Bob curve can't take another 5 cmc card.

You have 9 mana dorks, why would you play cursed totem?

BattousaiYngwie The reason is we don't need those dorks to function for the deck to work. Also many other decks leverage their dorks a lot more heavily than ours making this card more potent against others than against us.

xLouDx for a "no hate" comment it sure sounds condescending. sure, its multi-target and its sac effect, but its also untargeted, and will more often than not miss your intended target

Coinman1863 fair point that Murderous Cut cmc makes it a painful flip to bob effects. but still there are cards like Go for the Throat, Slaughter Pact, Putrefy, etc that is low cmc yet deliver that surgical removal.

I'm also curious about your chord of calling target. what do you usually tutor out? how is chord performing for you?

Liliana's Caress could be good, get the most value from the discards. Shrieking Affliction is a bit hard to get off but possibly worth it.

Strionic Resonator would definitely be worth it. Copy the discard trigger from Nath, make someone discard two cards or have two people discard a card. You get 2 Elf tokens either way!

@Coinman1863 How do you feel about Gate to Phyrexia? I was considering using it in my Nath Stax. I wanted to get your opinion of the card. We can then chain it into Volrath's Stronghold to get said creature back off the sac outlet.

Well, Lets get started.

SurpriZe, That more or less is excessive as only having a body exclusively as a creature meant for sacrificing feels really bad overall. The cards should be doing more than that anyway at least in a cEDH setting.

Manalito, partly because of the meta and partly because there isn't space for anything that fat. If you wanted a similar effect, Grafdigger's Cage would be better in the slot due to the CMC. Otherwise, many of the other stax pieces cover how the GY decks can win, they just don't hit the GY itself.

I gotta say I like this. I like it a lot. Im curious why you dont run cards like Smokestack though? Dosnt fit the theme? Or does it go against what you're attempting to set up?
