This is surely a very multiplayer effective deck.

Hey, love the deck. Lately I've been thinking a lot about stax. I've been brewing around Chainer as my CMDR, I just really enjoy pox'ing a table and also mindslicer'ing them as well. Naturally Nath has crossed my mind. How would you approach Nath at a more casual-competitive table? Where it's more common to see creature based decks or big Mana decks rather then turn 2-3 lists. Trinisphere for example, might miss more then hit but Sphere of Resistance is still viable. Would you focus more on board control or resources denial?

Have you played with Life from the Loam alongside Wasteland effects? Green provides great recursion for all those dredged cards as well.

Thanks a bunch for your insight!

Do you think this stands good in a 1v1 MTGO setting?

Nice list!

I’m missing chains and few other cards but there is nothing like chains, what would you play instead?

Sup dude, it’s been awhile since we last talked. Hope you’re doing well. How’s twilight prophet in testing in? Seems slow and clunky but having a CA engine on a stick is always nice. You gonna try the new warrior bob?

This new bob seems like an auto-include for Nath. Defenitely going to test it in my nath deck.

Mindblade Render made me smile when I saw it, I am going to have to steal that idea. Mind if I ask why you don't run Manglehorn, it has always felt like a show-in piece of stax in green, along with Root Maze and the like, also, why do you have 2 Demonic Tutors and 2 Damnations? I apologize If I just don't understand something.

Coinman1863 What do you think about adding Grave Pact to the deck? Wouldn't this deck be the perfect place to play it in, due to all the tokens and the need for constant creature removal? It seems to be cheap enough, while affecting all of the opponents at once.

Coinman1863 A huge fan of the deck and been waiting for this update from your testing fork. Could you please explain the inclusion of Fevered Convulsions and Ravenous Slime ?

WushuTea first and foremost, thanks for liking the deck! This has been a long passion project for me and it's always great to hear other people are getting use out of it as well.

To answer your questions, Ravenous Slime was included as another GY hatebear which helps us beat Hulk and other similar GY strategies. The major upside is that it can be GSZ'd or Chorded for if need be, which makes it much more accessable for us than other options.

Fevered Convulsions was added for two reasons:

  1. I always seemed to make lots of extra mana without having much to do with it.
  2. With all the Tymna the Weaver decks around -1/-1 counters matters a lot. Also gives us more targeted removal than before with high re-usability.

Hope this helps and if you have any questions, please ask!

Coinman1863 I understand the inclusions now and have also experienced having extra mana regularly but little to do with it at times. Fevered Convulsions is a great find! Thank you for the detailed response!

Hello, I am trying to become a better nath player.

Can you tell me your thoughts about Abyss and Street Wraith?

On the surface these seem like good cards in a Nath Build.

This list is so salt inducing, I love it. Good job.

But my question remains. Obviously STAX is an archetype that is on the knife's edge between casual and competitive. Can anything be done to this list to soften the blow? I dont wanna be "that guy" in my group.

Interested in STAX because I wanna have a deck for every control style.
