OP_Sigma: Thanks for the compliments, i'm glad Slivers are getting more play in Commander. I think Slivers are representative of all of the greatest (and not so great) spells and abilities of MtG. Delta-117 suggested a good replacement for the costly Gaea's Cradle, at least temporarily. Ebay was a good resource for me, as I only paid $145 for one in NM condition. Naturally, there's the worry of counterfeiters selling their wares, so I suggest using the Light Test to check your cards. Additionally, check with your local neighborhood card shop, as they would have people there who are well versed at spotting fakes.

Hi Again LVL_666

Thank you very much for the guides, i am beginning to learn how to use them and hopefully i will be able to use it very well. Sadly i might have made some mistakes, i tried to use some art as the guide showed me how to do it, and I got an error message across my page. Did you get that and how did you remove it? I have written to an Admin so i will hopefully get it removed. I think it has something to do with using Magic art, but i saw that you used the Sliver Hive Art so i figured it would be fine.

But i wanted to ask if i could be allowed to enable chat with you and get a copy of your description to work from, i will of course remove all you have written, it is just so that i could figure out the code. If you won't do that, I completely understand :)

Odysseus_97, of course i'm willing to help. However, I should have suggested this from the start - don't experiment on your "main" deck page. Make a practice page like where you can make all your mistakes and it not matter so much. Sorry that I didn't say that earlier, I could have helped you avoid having to contact an admin in the first place. Oh, and as for your question? Yeah. I made the same mistakes, and contacted an admin. I've been in your shoes before, so no worries friend :)

I was fortunate enough to have a mentor guide me through, and answer all of my questions so now that I have the opportunity i'll definitely pay it forward (as best I can anyway lol). I'll hit you up in chat regarding the error message your received.

Thanks a lot LVL_666 :)

Yeah, it would seem like a logic move :) No problem though, i already contacted Tappedout support and got in touch with them about the problem. Oh yeah, that would have been a good idea, i should have thought of it myself, it is just when you have a guide you feel a bit too secure, but no problem, i am sure the problem will be solved soon :)

And thank you very much, that sound amazing :D I really apreciate it :)

I played my own version of the deck for the first time tonight.

It was also my first participation in a edh multiplayer league composed of mainly heavy combo players.

This deck can do absolutely anything and the mana base is crazy. I've never played a deck like that before.

The competition was fierce but I managed to win 1 game, kill 2 players with commander damage. I'm satisfied if we consider that the meta was super competitive and I'm more of a casual player myself.

Slivers are awesome

Interesting, you have a decent deck here you should check out my sliver deck The Glorious Hive you might get some ideas you like.

OP_Sigma, first off i'm happy that you built your own sliver deck, but to base it off of my own? Thank you, i'm honored. I'm glad the deck survived in your meta, Sliver Overlord + Bonescythe Sliver have definitely won me games before. What changes have you made to your own instance of the deck? I'm currently experimenting with one slot, namely the one reserved for Swan Song. I cycle out Teferi's Protection, Damnation and Rhystic Study depending on the meta.

staroceansurfer, only a decent deck huh? Man you must have crazy high standards if you think my deck is merely...decent. If you think my deck has any oversights, or is lacking then please enlighten me. As for your deck oh i've got quite a few suggestions of my own...also for future consideration, use the deck link. It's annoying to have to click around to actually get to your deckpage.

Oh, and thanks for the +1s, both of you.

staroceansurfer, I do believe there's a bit of a...discrepancy between "your deck is decent" and "your deck is great". One statement implies mediocrity, the other superiority. To be clear, I'm not insulted. More salty. Mostly because you think that i'm naiive or arrogant enough to think my deck is perfect. Guess what? it's not. Honestly, the deck is more of a tier 3 or tier 2.5 if i'm having a good day.

It may not have been your intention, but you gave my MtG Magnum Opus a backhanded compliment only to follow it up with a "you should check out my sliver deck The Glorious Hive you might get some ideas you like". From your own deck page it didn't even look like you were confident in your own deck's direction while I spent an embarassingly large amount of time refining and figuring out my own (and of course i'm never going to be done).

Suffice it to say, I don't very much care for your tone. If you don't think highly of my deck, then say so...but come correct. I enjoy constructive criticism. If there is something I didn't see, then point it out...but don't just say my deck is mediocre...but have no idea what you're doing with your own sliver deck.

Good Day!

March 7, 2018 10:14 p.m.

Heh its not as simple as that i have spent a large amount of time on my deck as well all most to much but what i think is good and what is actually good can be two different things that's why i ask people their opinion of my deck. your deck is great in its own way its unique, what I may like for cards may differ from what you like for cards that's why i haven't mentioned cards to put in your deck your deck has its own flavor.

staroceansurfer, Enough. This exchange has devolved to you constantly backtracking and me littering the ground with spices. Look, you've posted quite a bit on this deck page and contributed literally zero constructive critique. So I will ask you to only post if you have real critique, or an actual card suggestion with an explanation...or don't post at all. Thank you.

Hello LVL_666, I hate to be the bearer of this news... but its been confirmed that there will be no Slivers with Dominaria in April :(

By the sound of it, some suspect that this is a move to give Slivers a larger significance later alongside the likes of the Phyrexians , etc within the story maybe? Anyways, heres the current explanation :

One of the challenges of designing Dominaria was there were so many possibilities of what to include (more expansions, for example, occurred in Dominaria than the rest of the Top 5 visited planes combined) and a limited amount of space available.Slivers were on the short list, but were problematic in that they require a significant commitment to space and doing so would have lessened how many other references we could make, so we made the tough decision to leave them out of Dominaria. This shouldnt be read as a sign that R&D isnt a fan of Slivers. We know how beloved they are and are committed to bring them back in the future, unfortunately not in the upcoming set.

Delta-117, the only thing I can think of is this tired old meme....

Patient Bear

But it fits, am I right? I've been thinking up some dream slivers and one that just came to me was a sliver that costs , it'd be a 1/2 and have: flash "All slivers you control have flash and when you play this creature, counter target spell" It'd likely be a rare, or mythic rare if they gave it the full art treatment. I'd like a sliver like that, and a strictly better Synapse Sliver. I basically want that Sliver to be Kindred Discovery on a body. Ah...sigh. Well thanks for the info, I was waiting for spoilers to be announced for Dominara, but now i'll be checking with less enthusiasm.

Delta-117 modification about that first dream sliver I need to change the 2nd ability to "You may play slivers as though they had flash and gain when you play this creature you may counter target spell." That may clause is super important. But yeah, one can dream. Thanks again for passing me up the news, you're awesome...even if the news is sad :(

March 8, 2018 12:23 p.m. Edited.

Mortlocke says... #23

Okay, last post about "dream sliver" these are the abilities finalized: flash, When you play this creature, you may counter target spell., and "You may play slivers as though they had flash and gain when you play this creature you may counter target spell." it'd still be a 1/2 for . yeah.
