OH FATHER OF MACHINES...

My very first EDH deck. Created by mixing a Sheoldred Theme deck with a competitive Mono-Black Commander shell. A love letter to Old Phyrexia and the Father of Machines. I knew i wanted a Mono-black EDH deck with plenty of Phyrexian cards for flavor and some competitive ability.

Lots of simple draw engines (Skullclamp+Reassembling Skeleton) and raw mana ramping (Crpyt Ghast, Cabal Coffers) supports a healthy handful of tutors, reanimation and destruction. Amass creatures and drop Gray Merchant to reap life, or an Abhorrent Overlord for fliers. Geth is hilarious as he lets you steal your opponent's cards and engines. If you're really feeling nasty, dig for your Dimir House Guard and Transmute for Infernal Darkness.

Yawgmoth Demon is not a great pick but I love the 9th edition art so much. And its got Yawgmoth in the name! At the very least it provides a sac outlet.
