I have this same conversation with myself about Deadeye Navigator all the time.

It's a 100 card deck, if there's a two card synergy that has only a little to do with the overall direction of the deck, unless for an instant-win combo, I figure I need to have 10ish pairs, unless one of the pairs is the Commander. Otherwise, the card is just dead weight too often, and I'd rather have a card that is useful on its own instead.

hereticloki : Looking for more enter the battlefield effects that replace some of the sorcery to make the change worth it at the moment actually since i have no recursion on sorcery any way this would ad a chance for recursion.

Good point, but you have no creature recursion in the ETB effects you listed.

Consider Reveillark, Karmic Guide, and Sun Titan. Reveillark and KG also combo with any sac outlet to recur all creatures from your GY and trigger the sac effect an infinite number of times, provided you can pay any other costs. Ashnod's Altar is a colorless sac outlet, which generates infinite colorless mana with the aforementioned twosome.

On the replacing instants/sorceries topic. I just looked through my EDH decks, and the only instant/sorcery effects I'm using in any of them are Tutors, Mass GY recall, Board Wipes or game winners. Except in my Zurgo deck, where there's a fair bit of trying to keep Zurgo alive / my things uncountered.

I like KG better than the other two, though Auramancer probably has some strong value for you. The more you lean towards ETB effects in general the more KG (and creature recursion in general) becomes valuable, because it recurs ALL your other tricks.

If you want to protect your enchantments Greater Auramancy would do the job nicely.

I really like Meadowboon for what your trying to do here. Monk Idealist seems like a card you could use. Also Shattered Angel is really cool.

Couple of ideas:

Swiftfoot Boots Protect Avacyn or Platinum

Kor Haven Utility land

Land Tax Great for thinning out your deck.

Angelic Field Marshal Vigilance!

Ajani, Caller of the Pride Gives Herald a counter or Avacyn double strike.

If you'd like more idea's, check into my build of Avacyn:

Avacyn's Spirit Bomb

ZombieCat Those might not be bad ideas I have a Kor Haven I can throw in.

What do you think of Storm Herd?

ness64 I have been playing with the thought of adding Storm Herd but its high mana cost is holding me back.

This is EDH. Games usually last long enough to cast it. You also have mana acceleration, so I don't think you should have any problems casting it.

Because this build isn't based around life gain, I wouldn't recommend Storm Herd.. If you wanted token production, I'd go with Martial Coup.

Epidilius says... #22

Instead of Martial Coup, why not White Sun's Zenith?

The zenith costs one more, doesn't board wipe, but makes stronger tokens and is reusable.

The commander is Avacyn, Angel of Hope, she doesn't give a flying Brushwagg if ANYONE board wipes.

Storm Herd would work great in my Selvala, Explorered and Returned with tokens deck. I make so much mana with my commander.
