[Hide Solas Lore] This world will be one without a moon or stars. And instead, on the island, the Solas act as the night time lights. The fire elementals of Solas charge up their power in the sun, and then release it at night, making them the night lights of the world. Now, in the sky, the air elementals of Solas reside. They live among the air currents that draft throughout the island, and have the power to carry someone with them among the currents. This can easily be a method of long distance transportation. Now, the air elementals, they long for a relationship, they long for love. An Air Elemental can spend many many years waiting for the right person, they are immortal, and are created when the mana is abundant within the turbulent wind.
Now the Fire Elementals, they are born on the ground. They can't fly, and are born young and small, mainly where there is a lot of heat, so they appear where there is a really large fire or during really hot days. They are mortal elementals, that grow and die. In order for them to grow older, they must grow their flames, if they don't their flames die out and elemental dies with it. They grow their flames by being near heat, or creating it. If left alone, a fire elemental will start massive forest flames to try to speed up their growth. But if they grow to large, they explode, causing massive amounts of destruction onto its surroundings.
Now the two elementals have long since forged a soulbond with each other. The fire elementals ignite and fuel the air elementals' desire for passion and love, and the air elementals help kindle the growth of the flame, keeping it alive when it is too cold or calm the flame when it is too hot. When a fire elemental is born (they are born almost primarily in the summer), it creates a small pillar of fire that reaches straight to the wind currents of the air elementals. This only lasts a short while, as it is the fire elementals birth cry, very much like the cry of a new born baby. If the pillar of fire were to come into contact with an air elemental, the air elemental would feel a pulse, a desire, sort of a need to be near the new born fire elemental (kinda like maternal desire). It would go down and care for the newborn fire elemental, residing on the ground and kindling the fire elemental's growth till it is strong enough to last through the winter. Then, the air elemental would carry the fire elemental up into the air currents to dance and play and love in the sky. The fire elementals would absorb the heat of the sun in the day and disperse the heat at night. And in the summer, they store up heat for the winter, all the while having their temperature be constantly regulated by the air elemental. In this, the fire elementals become the lands heat for the night and winter, constantly regulating the lands temperature. They also become the midnight light as they light up the sky in the air currents they dwell in with the air elementals, creating glorious trails of fiery currents in the sky, not unlike auroras. They are called: The Auroras of Fiery Wind.
Going into a little bit more detail into the relationships between the two elementals, the air elementals understand that if they don't care and guide the fire elementals upon their birth, the fire elementals will spread more fire and explode, creating even more fire and more fire elementals, which in turn explode. The Fire Elementals are just a chain reaction ready to happen on the lands, and it is the Air Elementals that are the cooling rods to stop this chain reaction. Alternatively, the Air Elementals are immortal, but there is nothing stopping them from being constantly created either. They are created where mana and massive gusts of wind are plentiful (note: fire elementals don't need mana to be born, they just need heat and fuel), so they too can become a massive chain reaction that threats the lands if unchecked, just in the form of massive hurricaines and twisters. Too regulate this, the death of a fire elemental will kill off the air elemental that is caring for it. If the fire elemental dies due to too much heat creating an explosion, the explosion just eradicates the air elemental entirely. If the fire elemental dies from being too cold, it crumbles into ash and falls to the land. The air elemental, losing its loved one will be distraught with grief, and will sink to the land with the ashes, slowly disintegrating into pure mana from whence it came.
