Companions everywhere

Commander: Rule 0*

Silly deck idea - Ignoring Lutri being banned and the silly one companion limit, can you make a functional Commander deck using as many as possible?

It's important to note that the commander is considered part of the starting deck for Companion purposes so must fulfil all conditions for all possible companions.

  1. Gyruda, Doom of Depths - Clashes with Obosh. Running Obosh for odd mana costs as we'll need a WUBRG commander
  2. Jegantha, the Wellspring - No issues, no double mana costs is fine
  3. Kaheera, the Orphanguard - No issues, we're going to be running elemental tribal, bois
  4. Keruga, the Macrosage - No issues, I guess we're just going to spend turns 1-3 playing lands
  5. Lurrus of the Dream-Den - Clashes with Keruga. Running Keruga as we'll need a commander with CMC > 2 for it to be WUBRG
  6. Lutri, the Spellchaser - Banned in commander but because of Umori, Lutri is a 3/2 with Flash
  7. Obosh, the Preypiercer - Clashes with Gyruda.
  8. Umori, the Collector - No issues. Forces us to run creatures only to share a card type with our commander.
  9. Yorion, Sky Nomad - Cannot run in commander due to 100 cards being the only valid deck size.
  10. Zirda, the Dawnwaker - No issues, guess we need to be really picky about our commander.

Now, it happens that there is a Legendary creature (Commander); that has a five colour identity (To run all these companions); with an activated ability (Zirda); that has a CMC > 3 (Keruga); that is a Cat, Elemental, Dinosaur, Nightmare or Beast (Kaheera); that is a creature (Umori); that has an odd CMC (Obosh); that we're only going to run one of (Lutri) and has no more than one of any mana symbol in its casting cost (Jegantha).

That creature is the Horde of Notions.

We even get to have synergy! We can run huge elementals like Earthquake Dragon and grab them from the bin. We can run Tideforce Elemental for more Jegantha activations to power the Horde of Notions and remove the counters from Fertilid with impunity to ramp harder into more Horde of Notions activations. We even get to recur three of our seven companions as they've got the Elemental type.

That's right, even with all of the restrictions in play, we're running Elemental Tribal Sacrifice Recursion. We're also playing a Lands theme because there are nowhere near enough nonland cards that meet our restrictions to make a deck even close to functional.
