This deck is my masterpiece of EDH brewing. It has no hard locks or instant win combos, and it is specifically meant to dismantle the strategies of those that do.

Why Anafenza? Because she is the strongest creature in the colors that can best support a Stax strategy. Anafenza also works as a powerful way to increase your clock and can completely hose decks such as Karador, Meren, and Jarad. We often do not cast her, but when we do it either wins us the game or hates on an opponent's main strategy.

Locks:

Uba Mask+Dark Confidant+Lifegain source=Opponents can't use their hand after their turn, breaks the synergy of Uba Mask. Also synergizes with Ethersworn Canonist and Eidolon of Rhetoric.

Uba Mask+Ensnaring Bridge=Creatures with 1 or more power can't attack. We win through this lock using 40 extort triggers from a Blind Obedience.

Solitary Confinement+Dark Confidant/Phyrexian Arena/Selvala=Prevent all damage dealt to you. Usually 1 creature on the board+ Anafenza wins this for us, especially if an opponent is tapped out for several turns so we can build up counters.

Smokestack+Bitterblossom/Meren/Crucibe of Worlds=Opponents sacrifice 1 permanent every upkeep.
