I'm sad that the old ninja cards are so hard to find, and i don't want to order them all. Even the planechase box is kind of expensive.
This decks looks really cool. I feel like Distortion Strike is pretty cool to get two ninjutsu-triggers in consecutive turns.

I've played a similar deck but using fairies as enables. These have been the most useful cards. Aqueous Form, Ronin Warclub and Quickling

Nice deck!
I do have some suggestions, blue has some amazing enablers for ninjutsu. For example: Gudul Lurker 1/1 unblockable for , since its unblockable it will always be able to trigger ninjutsu, and can after being send back to your hand be played the same turn again because its so cheap, and repeat every turn. There are some other cards that do this, one other example is Triton Shorestalker.
As for lands, what you have now is fine, you might want to add 1 land. Some decent ones in this deck could be Creeping Tar Pit, since it can be an unblockable creature while still giving you mana of both colours. The one bad thing about this card is that when you use its 3/2 unblockable form for ninjutsu, and play it again either the same or next turn, it enters the battlefield tappped. Another good card might be Sunken Ruins, if you ever have mana issues, this one can fix it.
I liek your other ninjutsu enablers, Sleep, Aqueous Form, Distortion Strike, Slip Through Space are all pretty good. I dont really like Behind the Scenes and the one disadvantage of Aqueous Form is that it gets destroyed when the creature is swapped out. Maybe you can think about Artful Dodge, since it is similair to Distortion Strike, but it swaps the +1/+0 for the ability to choose when you rebound it.
I can also see what you try to do with Quickling, get ninja's back to your hand. This is good, cause they will be protected from cards like Doom Blade when theyre in your hand. But I think I would like to see more of these cards. Some suggestions are AEther Tradewinds and Familiar's Ruse. These 2 cards turn what would usually be a disadvantage in sending a card back to your hand, into an advantage in this deck. I think a counter spell is pretty decent here, the only disadvatage is that it costs .
And lastly, I think you can abuse the unblockable creatures and creatures entering the battlefield more. Some cards I have in my ninja deck are: Mask of Memory and Ronin Warclub.
For card I dont really like in the deck:as said before, I think Behind the Scenes is a bit too expensive. Also Shuriken while being fun to play in a ninja deck isn't that great, you already have other removal in Doom Blade. Whispersilk Cloak is also pretty expensive, but it doesnt get destroyed when the creature its equiped on gets swapped out, so I think its fine, some other good shourd equipment is Lightning Greaves.
Hope this helps! Good luck with your deck! :)

Thalakos Seer has evasion and draws a card when it leaves play.

If Thalakos Seer was modern legal I would be in love :(

I would run more lands, probably twenty-four to be exact. Looks like you're relying on a lot of CMC 4+ creatures, and as things stand you won't be able to play those until turns five (CMC 4), seven (CMC 5), and eleven (CMC 6). Granted that's without considering potential card draw from Ninja of the Deep Hours and Shadowmage Infiltrator, which could accelerate things, but that's a risk I wouldn't want to run.
It also seems like you're going to struggle against affinity and multicolor decks that have black as a constituent color. Doom Blade and Shadowmage Infiltrator are basically dead in those matchups, and Dark Betrayal is really only going to be useful against mono-black decks. Consider Invisible Stalker as an alternative to the Infiltrator; granted you can't draw cards off of him, but hexproof is great and absolutely unblockable definitely seems preferable to fear. Also at CMC 2 he'll smooth out your curve.
Instead of Doom Blade you might consider Smother or Grasp of Darkness, and perhaps also one copy of Murderous Cut.
On the whole though I like it a lot, particularly for the dollar price. +1

Because of the tempo of this deck Faerie Miscreant may be a very good enabler

Instead of Shadowmage Infiltrator you could run Tormented Soul - they're essentially black versions of your lurkers, and they'll save you 40 cents a pop for each of the shadowmages
Otherwise great deck! Upvoted.

I'd feel more comfortable with Bident of Thassa / Coastal Piracy / Tandem Lookout over the mask.

very cool +1 from me... cool idea with Fireshrieker... i bet it is really nasty with Mistblade Shinobi! I may have to try that out in my ninja deck.

Instead of shadowmage, I would run Thalakos Seer. If you are switching him out, wouldn't it be more benificial?

Think Key to the City would be useful here? A permanent that provides unblockable and potential draw power.

I think a Dimir Infiltrator would do you some good. You can transmute him too if you don't need him in late game situations.

I love Ninjas, and I swear they don't get enough love as a tribe. May I make a suggestion? my Ninja build runs Faces of the Past and I think it would be a nice fit in here if you could find the room for it and still keep within budget.

Well, its a really great card, but not modern legal, unfortunately, i can't use it in this deck

Hei there! I suggest you to try Slither Blade in place of Triton Shorestalker and, maybe, Invisible Stalker.
May 30, 2017 3:48 p.m.
Some other idea i came up watching your deck:1) Grasp of Darkness is really mana intensive in your deck, i suggest you to use something like Go for the Throat which requires just one specific black mana.
2) Equips really slow you down and ninjas are supposed to be fast. Instead, you can play something like Sai of the Shinobi which is a faster, weaker Warclub.
3) I would consider Ornithopter which is evasive and costs 0, leaving your mana open to cast ninjas. Other good creatures to fit this role are Faerie Miscreant which can make you draw, Signal Pest which can also power up an attacker and Judge's Familiar that is also a cheap counterspell
4) You really have a big number of evasion effect, can't you cut someone of those sorceries for more control over your opponent in the form of removals or discard?

Looks very potent, dude! I'd personally double down on the Mistblade Shinobi, they are wonderworkers, and if you can make them unblockable, they work wonders ;) I'd run a few Rogue's Passage just because having unblockability in a land is value. It doesn't look like you're much else milling, so I'd replace thought scour with Shadow Rift. Fireshrieker would double the effectiveness of all your ninja. Have an awesome day, dude!
