I had no idea Presence of Gond was modern legal. (Only ever saw it as a common in EDH). I also didn't even realize that you get infinite 1/1s with just a Midnight Guard. Cripes it looks like my modern Esper just became modern Bant.

Um, did you include three Oblivion Ring just so you can also mill with the three of them and Altar of the Brood? If so, kudos!

kengiczarI know! It does seem a little overpowered for just 2 commons. When I made the decklist I just added in the oblivion ring as very cheap removal but looking at it that way it does have an extra use. Thanks! :)

Frydryk213 ahh yes my friend but that is including the sideboard that can be quite pricey. You do not need the sideboard to actually play a game

Bought this deck and brought it to sunday modern... went 3/1. with some tweaks this deck could probably pull off 4/0 consistently

Summoner's Pact might be helpful in searching out Midnight Guard

Ooooo Mass Hysteria would be very nice for the combo. Maybe Essence Warden as well for infinite life.

if you could find a way to work Blasting Station or Grinding Station and Enduring Renewal you could bounce Ornithopter and infa mill or Kill also

This deck is hilarious! I have been trying to get a modern combo deck for a really long time but all of mine just failed. Definitely +1 from me. Another combo that will work is:Intruder Alarm + Kazandu Tuskcaller

Lookin forward for the updates to add in some of that maybeboard love. What would you drop for Intruder alarm?

Also Bestshrekna what did you notice to get it to 4/0 consistantly?

This deck looks like a laugh to play cant wait to try it out.

+1 from me! Though it's probably really unlikely, I would love it if this becomes a thing and Altar of the brood/Midnight Guard skyrocket in price.

I feel like I dont understand how the 2nd option is infinite. Doesnt the bounce only work once? Please explain and im still pretty nooby forgive the questions

the guard get the abiliti until end of turn, not for just 1 bounce...so every time you can untap the guard this turn you can retap it for bouncing something.Everytime you will bounce the ornithopter and then replay it for 0 mana, when the ornithopter enters the battelfield, the guard Triggers and uptaps and you can repeat it.

I like this concept, the infinite combo is clever and works well...

The only problem that I see is that it relies too heavily on one untapping creature to win, and really except the first draw each turn you have no draw a card, which means if you don't draw the Midnight Guard, even if you have the rest of the combo pieces you are squishy. While the deck has tutors for the artifact and aura pieces, there really isn't any way to reliably pull Midnight Guard without top decking him.

I like the amount of removal in the deck, but it needs to be made a little smaller. It makes it a little less budget, but by removing maybe a couple Cancel 's and an Oblivion Ring, you could replace it with a Sleight of Hand. That would give the deck a little bit more speed.

After a bit of research another good one for the controlly aspect of this, as well as a sink for some of your spare mana which I found comes naturally, might be Dakra Mystic. Being able to see your opponent's top deck is good, and while having them draw cards and see your topdeck sucks, it might help sift out the bad draws in the deck and accelerate the deck a little faster. Plus, if you see something on their top deck you don't like, just have them mill it.

I definitely like the Summoner's Pact for creature tutor, props to KidKontrol

Summoner's Pact only gets you green creature cards. Won't find you a Midnight Guard.
