That's an easy one:
Phyrexian Crusader vs Plague Stinger moden comparision
- stinger has lower cost, you can drop it 1 turn sooner
- stinger has flying so it cant be blocked by 90% creatures
- crusader cant be blocked by 40% of creatures
- crusader cant be hit with Lightning Bolt, Lightning Helix, Path to Exile, but:
- both die to Fatal Push and Dismember
- crusader requires two black mana, which is harder for sultai

I have a very similar list but included the kaladesh fast lands. I also like to include phyrexian crusader in my sideboard in case I go up against W/R. It costs too much against the other colours

apostles blessing should get cut for blossoming defense. that card is worthy of the spot for sure. also I would cut 2 wild defiance from the side for 2 twisted image. you might also consider cutting 1 become immense from main for a spellskite because without gprobes BE is not as reliable and drawing into 2 of them is worthless. check out U/G infect staple library. for other card ideas. I made the list for U/G but there are resources there for other variations of infect.

Nice to see another "Compleat"-ionist around these parts. What are the matchups like for your list?

Aside that currently I play simic infect lately, this gave me about 50/50 50% of the time and better than that 50% of the time. Regards.

In Sultai Blossoming Defense sucks as both a pump and a counterspell because:
- It's a weak pump +2/+2
- Both Disrupting Shoal and Pact of Negation are 0 mana counterspells - why would u run a 1 mana one alongside this?

I'm a fellow infect player, and having been using a UG list and wanting a bit of a change, I have a few questions. Why Sleight of Hand over Serum Visions or now with Ixalan Opt? Also, can you reliably cast Become Immense? After Probe was banned I started to only play 2 because I couldn't get cards in the grave for free anymore.

hello,
I dont like Opt any more than Sleight of Hand
sleight's are best of all cantrips as I see it. (serums, sleights, opt, anticipate)
Opt is I've read a reprint anyway from one of older cards.
become immense with 10 fetches is consistent t3.
in sultai infect you aim for t3 / t4 wins instead of more aggressive legacy t2 and ug t2 / t3 wins, but it's more consistent

Yea Opt is a reprint of a card that wasn't modern legal, but will be with Ixalan. The play style seems to be close to what i'm used to. You don't usually win super fast but play more reactively.

in Opt:
u check the top 1 card
you draw the 1. or 2. card
u check 2 cards from top
you draw the 1. or 2. card
why would you play Opt

4 pact of negation is overkill. you could cut 1 basic land and at least a couple pacts. mutagenics help fuel become immense as well as boost you kill speed.

Feel free to try that in your deck I will stick to my build :) thanks for the suggestions tho

just saying pact is a great card but what do you do with 2? it is a dead card. watched a lot of infect matches by professionals, read primers, built various deck types etc. no one runs 4 pact of negation in anything. you have room for a more functional spell.

Phytoburst is sorcery speed which is really not ideal for a deck trying to prevent interaction.

Dumb question, but why no Phyrexian Crusader?
