Actually, the deck is competitive in a spot-removal-heavy meta.
Lay down a Bassara Tower Archer, Cloudform 'ed anything (2/2 flying hexproof, who cares what's under it) or a Strider. Then Bolster it with Cached Defenses or the criminally-underrated Sunbringer's Touch . Smash, evade with Aqueous Form, survive with Feed the Clan. Simple, hilarious, and brutal.
Sideboard
Mistcutter Hydra vs. control decks that just sided out their spot removal for counterspells.
Stubborn Denial for board wipes.
Reality Shift replaces Feed the Clan vs. game-swinging fatties like Dragonlord Dromoka.
