as always exquisite! Ive been trying to work out mimic elementals with him and masters as the tops. still working nailing down Cloudform consistently on frost walker and a bolster deck that he should be the star of. all in all you inspire! great job here! +1!

Thanks, man! This kid at our LGS and I have a running joke with Conifer Strider being OP, and I'm like, Challenge Accepted!

That's actually pretty cool. It's a middle-finger to any control deck. Seems like it would fall short to a really aggressive deck. Still, +1.

mystara Thanks--it's not been battle-tested yet, but I think Feed the Clan along with sideboard Encase in Ice should help it prevail over aggro. We will see!

What is it with low-toughness green creatures that are difficult to kill outside of combat make them such good joke semi-competitive standard decks? My Phytotitan decks have been doing the rounds at FNM and already has a reputation at my LGS :p

Anyhows, looks fantastic.

Wait, hold on. You have a JOKE about Conifer Strider being good? He is no joke. He is the ultimate control-hating power house in a format where UB control is arguably the best deck. He is so powerful he can kill a Siege Rhino with his bare hands. How dare you insult the power of Conifer Strider, the almighty, format-warping being of pure power!

Encase in Ice is meh because it does nothing against dash. I'd swap it for Reality Shift.

Thank you for giving me a reason to keep doomwakes in my sideboard

Your're not as OP against control as you might think. Game 2 I'd have 4 Drown in Sorrow, 3 Foul-Tongue Invocation, 3 Crux of Fate, you'd also have to get under Silumgar's Scorn and once a dragon hits the board he can block you all day.
I don't see myself winning game 1 without a fast Dragonlord Ojutai or Crux of Fate, and I think this deck is very sweet and it could actually work! +1

Just saying, first strike + Conifer Strider would essentially be an untargetable 5/6 for 5 or so depending which first strike enchantment you use, red could be worth looking into...

I'd almost say Stratus Dancer makes sense in the main board. It gives you some built in evasion via flying, it's a 2 mana counter spell, and it stops board wipes dead, which are what you care about, mostly. Perilous Vault would be your biggest sore spot, but even then, you would be pulling in Stubborn Denials game 2.

side board 2 Frost Walker to take the place of 2 Bassara Tower Archer in round 2 for higher damage output and to mess with your opponent, plus bolster doesn't target creatures so you can still pump him- maybe get Dromoka's Gift for instant speed.

Great idea for a deck! Some great combos, especially one time when I was playtesting this and got Conifer Strider+Cached Defenses+Taigam’s Strike on consecutive turns.

Seems you got a lot of your bases covered for versatility, but it seemed to have a bit of an issue with my abzan deck. If this deck didn't win fast enough, the deck I was using was able to get to turn 6 or 7, and start getting stronger creatures out, especially ones like Dragonlord Dromoka with lifelink.

Having a bit more removal/counter spells probably would help, and I see your sideboard helps some with that. Adding Reality Shift definitely seems like a good option then.

Another friendly suggestion- Inspiring Call instead of Cached Defenses to stop board wipes and as a game-ending combat trick. If they think you're doing a suicide run, but then just draw a TON of cards AND give your guys indestructible, they'll be demoralized.

drock1000 Thanks--excellent suggestion on Reality Shift, thank you for playtesting this against your abzhan! I replaced Feed the Clan mainboard with Shift to deal with big threats, such as flying lifelink dragons that just ruin my day. Feeds can then replace them against weenies.

I love that your decks are so creative and are more the types of things that would be fun to play and piss off spikes at FNM at the same time. Definitely want to try this, albeit, without the mana base.

Thanks RisingOutlaw! I aim to bring the game as well as the fun. It's like kryptonite for netdeckers!
