+1 APPRECIATED

AKH Update coming soon! Waiting on some cards in the mail. (POSSIBLE SWITCH TO AZORIOUS)

We all know 'that guy', and 'that guy (or gal)' could be you. Mono-Blue shenanigans.

Straight blue control. Gets Aggro in the long game. Taking turns, doing things.

The key is to quickly cycle through the deck and get your wincons set-up. Try to control the board state, and then overwhelm your opponents.

The wincons:

Tokens: Metallurgic Summonings + Talrand, Sky Summoner + Final Iteration   = A lot of dudes.

You can also string many turns together with 7 Time Walks in deck, even more if you factor in recursion with Jace, Learn from the Past , etc.

If all else fails, you can mill with Jace, Telepath Unbound   as there are a few recurring graveyard shuffles.

Capsize is your oppressive bomb late. With a big mana base you bounce everything out of the way, set up multiple turns, pummel away.

Combos:

Infinite mana and Storm: High Tide + Palinchron

Snow-Covered Island s are solely for Extraplanar Lens

I like awakening Part the Waterveil + Faerie Conclave, animating a 8/7 flier seems ok.

Any advice appreciated.

As always, please give a +1 if you like the deck.

Played in a weekly league at my lgs this afternoon. This was my first time not only with this deck, but edh in general that I would be in a pod, or a non 1v1 game. 10 players showed. Round one was a 4-man pod, and 2 3-man pods. Round 2 would pit the winners of the 3-man pods vs the top two of the four man pod. I was randomly placed in a three man pod in round 1...

R1: I was against Keranos, God of Storms, and Sliver Overlord. I went off pretty fast this game, curved out great. Brainstorm, Jace, Baral, Long-Term Plans (into Metallurgic Summonings), Docent of Perfection. With all that the sliver player kept building a small army, ramping and searching for slivers. The Keranos player didn't do much but react. He eventually played a wheel effect when the sliver player was loaded up, at which point a flashed back brainstorm with Snapcaster. Kept Expropriate and another time walk. With the blue player tapped out I played turnabout on the sliver player and went off with several Time walks, finishing them both.

R2: Talk about a helluva game. I was against a GW aura deck, can't remember the command, partnered commanders, and a Geist of Saint Traft deck. This game lasted hours and saw several swings. I started slow, stuck on 4 lands including Boseiju. Geist player was aggressive early hitting everyone. I made the mistake of countering the GW commander around turn 7 or so. The following turn the partnered player went off, casting omniscience, minds dilation, nicol bolas, BG god, amongst a few others. He wrecked havoc for a few turns until I topdecked cyclonic rift, to which he was never able to stabilize again. The Traft player KOd him. I was then able to get summonings down to start building a board. GW player got his commander out with a ton of auras, traft player Pariahed the commander, but he still attacked for massive lifegain (~60). At this point, 30 or so turns in I was able to go off, casting several capsizes, and Time walks.

Everyone was salty, and I will be targeted hard next time. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and will be more dedicated to commander. As a first time player coming in and beating several veterans I fully expect a lot of hate going forward. I love it, haha.

Capsize was definitely an MVP, but the deck performed how I wanted it to. All three token producers did work round two, but Summonings labored hardest.

Not sure what to change... I sat on a Learn from the Past all game, r2. I did use the Elixir though, so idk if I want to cut it or not. Propaganda didn't do much, but it could have been the decks I played, not sure here either. Misdirection was a dead card for me too, as there was rarely ever a single target. Also not sure about Baral's Expertise.

I have some stuff to think about, anymore suggestions appreciated.
