Ghost Dad is at it again, this time with a powerful midrange control-esque deck at his disposal. A control deck without Sphinx's Revelation. Shocking, I know.
Any questions, or suggestions? Please leave a comment, even to just say "hi"
Lets talk through the cards
Creatures
Blood Baron of Vizkopa This deck will rarely get the 30 life, but a 4/4 pro white and black is nothing to be scoffed at. The lifelink is an added bonus
Boros Reckoner The brick wall. King of anti-aggro value
Obzedat, Ghost Council Dodges removal, possible 9 lifepoint swing every turn
Sin Collector
Being able to see an opponents hand is very helpful, but in a control matchup, this card is invaluable. Against aggro, a 2/1 can usually trade with early game attackers.
Artifact and Enchantments
Rakdos Keyrune In a deck without green, mana ramping is hard to do. The keyrune helps me ramp early, and can beat the majority of aggro creatures.
Assemble the Legion Give players a visible clock. Control decks hate this card, because if I can get it to stick, they better pick up a response soon.
Other Spells
Warleader's Helix Can be 4 damage to the face for game, removal a big creature and stall with the 4 points gained.
Aurelia's Fury V-E-R-S-A-T-I-L-E. Can clear the board for a lethal attack, can prevent a lethal attack and can force a counter spell from a control player.
Magma Jet A more effecient Shock
Dreadbore Tell your Jace, Architect of Thought I say hi. Planeswalker OR creature killing!! Now if only this was at instant speed. hmmm
Merciless Eviction Boardwipe that exiles, so you can leave your Undying and Scavenge at the door. Covers a facet of this deck's weakness: enchantments
Mizzium Mortars How else am I to survive against Gruul Deck Wins or Naya Blitz!! Late game I can overload it for a boardsweep
Rakdos's Return Nothing is better then making a control player take 6 to the face and discard 2 Sphinx's Revelation
