I feel like Crux of Fate and one of the Dragons should be in the main deck

I've looked at crux, but I really like End Hostilities. I might sideboard it, but what dragon are you suggesting I play.

@damtgmaster I see what you mean now, and if I would use either Ojutai, Soul of Winter, or Silumgar, the Drifting Death, I would use Ojutai. He is more of a control, and if I did use Crux of Fate, this card would be a god. I am going to consider both of the dragons, though.

Add another Silumgar to your main board

Legolas903289 What is your reasoning on putting another Silumgar mainboard.

Legolas903289 says... #6

Well in the right control deck you can play him and your opponent won't have any creatures to block ever. You'll just counter them or kill spell them. Plus once he is out he doesnt leave. I have lost several games at fnm by taking continuous swings from him.

I see your reasoning now, but what do I take out, cause I really like how the deck plays now

I would take out an end hostilities because Ugin can serve as a board wipe as well and 9 board wipes is a tad bit excessive.

I meant to say 7 not 9

I would try to fit another Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver in the sideboard, it's just really good against the midrange match ups, or the match ups where it can't be answered. Also it seems like you have a LOT of end games, which is costing you the ability to fit more counter spells or kill spells in the deck. I would suggest taking out the Silumgar, the Drifting Death's and putting them in the sideboard so you can fit a couple of Murderous Cut which in this deck often only costs 1 or 2 mana. Looks good though, keep up the good work!

@teotherlegoguy Thank you soo much for your feedback. I totally forgot about Murderous Cut. So I think I'll take out a Silumgar, the Drifting Death and Jace, the Living Guildpact since I don't really like how he plays. And, since my sideboard is really small, another Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver will fit right in.

having 5, 5 drop board wipes is too excessive. Drown in Sorrow dominates the early stages of the game.

Tasigur, the Golden Fang is really strong and acts as a great deck accelerator.

Narset (planeswalker) is awesome for this deck

EnderSlayer13 says... #14

Ya, I was thinking about taking out Jace and some other card so I have two in the deck, cause she is super good.

3 Elspeth is too much for a 6 mana walker

Okay, I think once dragons comes out I'm going to make major edits to this deck, since TONS of sick new control cards are coming out.

I'd take out one of each etb tapped lands And add a basic.Too many tapped lands leads to slow game play and you want to have your opponent by the balls on turn 4, when narset comes out.

I'm not really a fan of Anticipate. I think I'd add one more Dig Through Time and 2 Disdainful Stroke. I also think instead of Nyx-Fleece Ram in the sideboard you should have Jeskai Sage. I'm on that bandwagon LOL.

@shepherdofire I really like how the scry lands give me info about my first few draws, plus by turn four I will have the correct mana most of the time.

@iischris Anticipate is really like a slightly worse Impulse. I played Jeskai Sage in the first version of this deck, and I don't like it as much as the Nyx-Fleece Ram. Plus, Tasigur, the Golden Fang filters my deck just like the sage. Disdainful Stroke will go on the sideboard and I may add the 4th copy of Dig Through Time.

Just a suggestion. In my meta having more than 8 tapped lands can kill you. But you are playing control so you may fend longer than most.

@TheHroth Do you have a opinion on my deck?

March 8, 2015 9:39 p.m.

TheHroth says... #22

Silumgar's Command. Definitely worth playing.

Dragonlord Ojutai is cool, but cute at best. A free Anticipate for damage is not worth a wincon that dies to Stoke the Flames. Silumgar, the Drifting Death is much much better.

Your mana base has issues. Temple of Silence isn't great here, as it doesn't provide mana. I'd swap them out for a split between Dismal Backwater and Tranquil Cove.

Sounds crazy, but Thoughtseize is not all that great right now, with much of the meta being aggro, and control decks having so little access to lifegain. I'd take it out for a couple extra counterspells, and a couple extra kill spells. Disdainful Stroke, and either Ultimate Price or Radiant Purge would be my choices.

I would suggest running some Radiant Fountain and a 1 of Secure the Wastes..that card late game is going to do some wonders for control. (just my opinion though)
