Convoke Convoy

Legacy

lowsypunk

This deck has three complimentary strategies going simultaneously. First, It's a token generator. Second, It's a convoke deck. Third, it's a reanimator. The combined effect is an effective control deck that shuts down the opponent's offense while building a massive token army.

Tokens:
In addition to the standard token generators, Suture Priest makes cards that give everyone tokens work only to your advantage, as you can have them lose life for each token. Once you have enough, you can destroy all non-token creatures with Hour of Reckoning and then bring yours back with your reanimator cards. If you get a Mentor of the Meek out, you can draw cards for as many tokens as you play, which gives your excess lands some utility when you are playing convoke spells.

Convoke:
When you can tap tokens and still have defenders, convoke becomes a useful ability again, so it pairs well with tokens. It's hard to accelerate white decks in general, but this is a solid strategy. White weenies with non-tap activated abilities are also useful for convoke (Kami of False Hope, Children of Korlis). Convoke spells are for giving you more tokens or for removal.

Reanimator:Gift of immortality on Tethmos High Priest is a winning combo. Kill him once per turn, and you get him back along with another weenie from your graveyard. Sun Titan, of course, works this way on his own, but Tethmos can be on the battlefield earlier. Suture Priest triggers on the reanimation, as well as the casting.
