Really sweet deck have you looked at Clone,Sakashima the Impostor and Sakashima's Student all three of these cards are really cheap an easy to summon cloning cards and I was thinking could work well with this deck and they are all cheap. Anyways this deck looks awesome +1.

Gilded Drake is awesome. You can clone it to steal two critters.

@ZenBug Cheers for the +1 and the ideas! I have looked at those cards when building this deck up, Clone was originally dropped for Phyrexian Metamorph. Sakashima the Impostor was very tempting though! The only problem I had with it was the cost to reuse the card. reusable clones are lacking in the deck but I have never felt the need when playing. Sakashima's Student on the other hand is already in my acquire board! It's such a cheep cost with ninjitsu!

@PayOneLife Hey! Thank you for the input, Gilded Drake is excellent! Especially when combined with Mimic Vat Though unfortunately it is currently out of budget.

its defiantly an interesting idea, i enjoy the idea , consider Havengul Lich he lets you play creatures from any players graveyard by paying 1 colorless to target the creature you want to play, it fits the theme and its one of my favorite graveyard shenanigan cards for commander.

When Lazav is out, Grinning Totem is like a Bribery.

In my playtesting, it felt a bit held back by the large number of taplands. I feel like you could affort to swap in a few more basics and still do fine.

I personally prefer the signets for ramp over the keystones. Usually the only 3+ cmc rocks you want produce 2-3 mana and pay themselves off sooner, like a loan. You invest 3 for the keystone, and it takes 4 turns begin to make a 'profit'. Whereas the signet profits on the third turn, because of the activation cost. Just something to think about. I've often used them to get Lazav out turn 3 with a decent hand (3 lands with at least one of each color).

@HydraOoze Hey there! Thank you for the +1 and the suggestion. I would be running Grindstone but the current deck is aimed to be as far away from mill as possible. This is mainly due to my current playgroup.

"Chromatic Lantern:- My favourite mana rock! Offers fixing for all your land, especially if you need to cast things with Nightveil Specter!"

Just want to make sure you know you can only generate mana of your commander's colour identity. Rule #4 from http://mtgcommander.net/rules.php -> Deck Construction:

"A deck may not generate mana outside its colours. If an effect would generate mana of an illegal colour, it generates colourless mana instead."

So, Even if you have Chromatic Lantern out and want to cast a spell exiled by Nightveil Specter or anything else from your opponent's deck, it has to be in your colours unless you're playing with homebrew rules in a non-tounament setting. =)

Dude, this is awesome. I had wanted to play a deck-thief styled deck but lacked the creativity/card knowledge to go that route with mine! Muuuuch better than what I'm rolling right now! Might be doing a deck rehaul if this mine doesn't work as well as I'd hoped! +1

Love the deck, however I'd recommend some sorts of sacrifice component for all the creatures you gain control of in the case that they go back to their controller (Homeward Path, end of turn effects, your Dragonlord Silumgar dies, etc). High Market and Ashnod's Altar are easy examples to include, but there are plenty of others that give other benefits such as life gain, or card draw.
