Sideboard

With the ever increasing price of Standard in Fall 2015, I began to look towards Modern as a format. While the banning of Twin/Bloom, two matchups usually in this deck's favor, has been a bit unfortunate this deck is still well suited towards the current metagame I've found.

I'll go over each card choice so that there's a rational behind each card.

Spells:

Collected Company- Some lists run Vial, some lists run CoCo. I've found that CoCo feels better as a card, as Aether Vials tended to be prone to Artifact Hate and required us to have the creature in hand to get optimal value. As well, Aether Vials tend to be a mediocre to terrible topdeck, while Collected Company has never lost value in my testing. With the rise of Inquisition as the premier Discard spell, it seems logical.

Path to Exile-Best Removal in Modern. Arbiter is amazing with it, as is Mindcensor.

Dudes:Brimaz-The king of the Cats is seriously amazing. If I could, I'd run him as a 4 of, but his legendary status is his biggest downside.

Eternal Witness- I added her on a side note while testing and was surprised to see how well she interacts with Collected Company, Path, etc. For this deck we want to use Path as many times as we can while an arbiter is in play, and having this recursion is great. Also allows for us to return discarded spells, destroyed enchantments out of the board, etc.

Flickerwisp-I keep bouncing back and forth between him and Eldrazi Displacer for the deck for a flicker creature, but he's the current pick due to land. He's able to swing in the air, flicker our creatures with ETB effects(Finks out of the board, Witness can get us multiple cards). 2's the number I've settled on as the best amount as it doesn't come up often enough to be an issue but is still is a possibility off of a Collected Company.

Leonin Arbiter-Honestly one of the best cards in the deck for reasons that should be obvious.

Loxodon Smiter- A 4/4 for 3 is good, and his discard ability is nice when it happens.

Noble Hierarch-It's Noble Hierarch. Just like Arbiter, he's an auto include in the deck.

Qasali Pridemage- Exalted Triggers+ Body+ Ability to sacrifice to kill an artifact.

Scavenging Ooze- Eats our opponent's graveyard. Super nice to beat Flashback, able to eat Kozilek's Return, stops graveyard interactions.

Thalia, Guardian of Thraben-Obvious inclusion, but her taxation effect works really well with the deck, as 8 non-creatures can work with this.

Voice of Resurgence- It's a 2/2 for 2 that gets us tokens whenever our opponents try to interact on our turns. Auto 4 of.

LAND:Ravorverge Thicket-It's a fastland, we tend to sacrifice our lands to deal with other lands.

Plains-It's a Plains

Sunpetal Grove-Synergizes well with Temple Garden/The basics in our decks. It's no Horizon Canopy, but I'm not dropping $400 on a playset of Horizon Canopies.

Temple Garden-Standard Shockland for our deck.

Stirring Wildwood-Works super well against Flyers in my experience.

Ghost Quarters- At worst it's an out to a Tron/Eldrazi Temple/Inkmoth for them getting a basic, at best it's a Strip Mine when used with Arbiter/Mind-Censor

Forest-It's a Forest.

Gavony Township-It taps for colorless and in the late game, with even just 2 creatures on the field, it's still a fantastic mana sink to pump our creatures. Also works well with Kitchen Finks in the board.

Tectonic Edge-It's a more expensive, more situational Ghost Quarters, but without the downside if we don't have an arbiter.

SIDEBOARD:

Dromoka's Command- Stops damage, gives counters, gives us a fight mechanic, allows us to kill enchantments, it's a multi-functional card.

Eidolon of Rhetoric-Stops Storm in an ideal world, hurts Delver without really hurting us.

Kataki, War's Wage- I kept debating between this and Stony Silence, and while Kataki does die to any form of removal his upkeep trigger and his ability to be found through Co-Co helps out a ton.

Kitchen Finks-Lifegain Trigger is nice, synergizes with D.Command/Gavony Township/Melira.

Leyline of Sanctity- Helps to stop burn/Discard spells.

Worship-With the Eldrazi Menace running around, Worship is always valuable, especially with how many creatures we run in general.

Melira, Sylvok Outcast- Stops Infect, removes the -1/-1 on Finks, can be gotten with CoCo.

P.S.
