I'm going to have to plug the same card here that I do for every Corpsejack deck: Hunger of the Howlpack . Use it. It's easy to make things die, and three +1/+1 counters (six, with a Menace on the battlefield) for one green mana is really hard to beat. That's a permanent Giant Growth .

And yeah, what Kamotz said....

There's also Blessings of Nature to consider. And you might get more out of the +1/+1 Counters if you go green/black/WHITE instead of green/black/RED. White gives you Common Bond , Mikaeus, the Lunarch , and Gavony Township to keep giving you those much-needed counters.

Also, since this deck seems to be based around Corpsejack Menace , why not go for a full 4x? I've seen some sick combo interactions between him, Primordial Hydra , and Essence Harvest .

a little off topic, if you wanna check your mana simply use the graphs you have on the right of your screen, that's what they're there for, they can be really useful ;)

by reading them you'll notice you have a total of 14 black mana sources on your deck and a total of 26 mana symbols. in my opinion that's about right, you shouldn't have any probs ;)

Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord does not get +1/+1 "counters" so he should be out

This seems better than my Golgari deck (Trampling Golgari). Have you played this deck at a FNM or other tournament? If you have I would love to hear how it performed.

@tmfrx360 oh okay I misread Jarad, and the main reason i was keeping him was for the sac damage. thanks for the help.

@Kamotz Thank you very much, you have been very helpful. Im gonna try to make the neccesary cuts to add some white and take out the cacklers. I will have an updated version by the end of the day.

Again thank you all very much all of your help is much appreciated!

I prefer Travel Preparations to Common Bond --lacks surprise value but gives you twice the counters.

Other than that, love this, I have something similar: They Grow Up So Fast.

Even without the Hydra's and trolls, Primordial Ooze will sit there and get more menacing every turn, and start killing more things adding to its strength. In a deck that is stalling you and wasting its removal on the hydras, trolls and corpsejacks, the ooze can save you.

Ajani, Caller of the Pride would help a lot here. Also Gyre Sage would help with ramping mana to get a much bigger Primordial Hydra or Mikaeus, the Lunarch .

The Champion of Lambholt + Wild Beastmaster combo is nasty. Pounds in massive unblockable damage and all you need to do is buff 1 creature.

Where is Hunger of the Howlpack at? Cheap buffs are always cool. And potentially six counters for 1G is so sweet. And its instant speed.

Cool deck though man. +1

you might want to consider taking out slitherhead for a mana dork like card:Avacyn's Pilgrim or Arbor Elf . i tried slitherhead and they dont work well

@SniperFrog Thanks alot! haha I cant believe I fotgot about ajani she really would work well in here, do you think 3 is one too many?

StonRighMeow says... #13

@tmfrx360 I think i will wait until GTC for Gyre Sage until i worry about any ramp

SniperFrog says... #14

No man 3 is not too many. The scariest thing about Ajani is the WW that it costs. Sometimes it gets alittle mana intense, but always worth the risk. Especially if you can swing just the once with double strike. Good luck man. Let me know how it goes.

capriom85 says... #18

looks like a good build. i like the general idea. i wouldn't worry about your mana curve with so many duals thoguht. play test it and see what happens on that front.

@capriom85 I play on cockatrice tons because you can test any deck you want agaisnt other good decks. and this is quite a consistent winner agaisnt high level decks

Have you considered Travel Preparations in place of Common Bond ?

Since you are running white, someone gave me the suggestion for my deck You Can Count(er) On Me. of running Oblivion Ring seems to work well when you need it.

caouetter says... #22

Maybe you could run Disciple of Bolas and Death's Presence, that way when you cast disciple you can sacrifice a big creature, gain a bunch of life and draw a bunch of cards, and the creature wouldn't be a waste because of Death's Precence

Playtesting I got land screwed, I was wondering wether you need just one more forest, one less lotleth? The lotleth doesn't seem to have enough fodder. Could Triumph of Ferocity work in this deck?! It works in my gruul aggroy deck The Green Flash (20 land mid-range?)) as I get big creatures out, I'm guessing your deck is similar, also card draw is RIDICULOUS!!!
