Playtest #3 —May 15, 2013
Made a minor change before testing:
Jace was mostly a dead card against creatures/aggro without an established board so one of him had to go to make room for little Garruk. He works as a removal, a token generator, and a tutor which is much more useful against those decks.
Got to play several games against a Jund Midrange deck tonight (without sideboarding). Went 3-2 games against it. The deck runs Sire Of Insanity, Huntmaster of the Fells Flip, Thragtusk, Olivia Voldaren, along with other usual cards Jund runs.
Tamiyo, the Moon Sage did very well in this matchup, keeping his big swingers at bay while leaving them open to my removals. Far / Away worked so darn well against him. I could either remove two of his creatures (permanently with Far if it's a token) or use Far on my own creature to dodge a removal and make him sacrifice. Creatures weren't a problem for me.
The two games that I lost was solely due to his resolving Garruk, Primal Hunter. I had next to no way to deal with planeswalkers in my maindeck other than combat so he just kept pumping out tokens after tokens and eventually blowing up for 6/6 tokens. My multitude of removals dealt with all of his other creatures just fine so this showed that I REALLY need answers in the mainboard against planeswalkers! My options to run MAINBOARD would be:
Cyclonic Rift - also works well with Crypt Ghast for overload if need be.
Vraska the Unseen - Running her mainboard is also a decent option since she works quite well with the deck itself and is a very versatile removal that can repeat itself. Her rattlesnake ability also helps deter any attempts at her life especially if the opponent's creatures are valuable to him. This would also open 2 spots in my sideboard for other things (like more answers against planeswalkers).
AEtherling - This thing doesn't care about blockers, dodges removal, and can either get fat or hit hard.
Duress or Appetite for Brains could work too, but I prefer a reactive spell so that I may answer to the threat after it resolves since I can't expect to hit a planeswalker every time they reveal.
I have decided to make the following changes:
MAINBOARD
-1 Mutilate
+2 AEtherling
-1 Putrefy
+1 Far / Away - This card is too damned good. Want to see if I can run more.
SIDEBOARD
-1 Crypt Incursion - Going to try to make do with just 2 against reanimators.
+1 Jace, Memory Adept - Still need him in control matchups.
Also, including Thragtusk and Progenitor Mimic demands higher count of green sources and I need to keep my swamp out high to make Mutilate and Crypt Ghast work so I have decided to forego Farseek in favor of Chromatic Lantern. It fixes all of my color needs and still acts as a ramp, just a turn later.
-4 Farseek
These changes means all previous comment will be moved here.

I haven't had a problem with it before, but I see where you're coming from. Going to try moving the lands around. Thanks!

Thragtusk provides life gain against aggro decks and also another target for my Progenitor Mimic . Multiplying my mana isn't my primary win-con.

I think you need more white lands to cast the Sphinx's Revelation consistently
