Leonantti oh yeah! Forgot to mention the other cards lol!

Together Forever is very cool, I just took it out but expect to have it back in eventually. It might be a little too cute though, and I don't have a strong +1/+1 counter theme to truly take advantage of it. Palace Siege seems decent, but I feel like there are many, way better recursion spells. Phyrexian Reclamation is one of the best, and I suggest it for your deck before Palace.

TheNocholas Suns_ChampionYeah, I totally get that. I'm not too interested in her for the tokens, tho. Love her voltron side more which is why I wanted to try it. Really, though, her story is awesome and I love her flavor. I kinda wanted at least one commander whose flavor and story stuff I like.

Thanks for the comments and upvote on my Elenda, I forgot to ask in my last message how well has your deck worked. Sometimes mine can get pretty quick out of hand if not dealt with properly xD Though it depends a lot on what kinda decks I'm playing against and what kinda luck I'm having.

Fallen Ideal has actually worked pretty well, last saturday it did nice things with Teysa Karlov when I sacrificed some creature tokens with Fallen Ideal and created me a huge Elenda that one shotted with that flying one opponent and the other scooped after that xD

Yeah, your deck sure is niche and I kinda love it for that, often my niche ideas or themes (that I would want to build around) do not work.

Astroaero it's too difficult to go voltron with Elenda. 1/1, no evasion, no protection.

If you're looking for a fun, flavorful deck that's off the beaten path, Elenda is a good fit. It's hard work but insanely fun to "get there" with Elenda.

Leonantti You're welcome! The deck has troubles getting going: it's difficult to ramp and get a significant number of death triggers. That's why I'm forced to supply my own tokens most of the time to sac. But once it gets going it's awesome. Assembling 4 card combos, control the board by killing everything, swinging out with huge tokens or voltron style, or just drawing out lol.

Thanks again! I love this deck too. It's probably my most creative deck that isn't total jank, and way cool to play.

Astroaero there is nothing wrong with having a fun to play deck. My Sidisi's Milkshake is my most competitive deck, but that's only because I played it against competitive/expensive decks. I build janky unique stuff. If you like Elenda build one just for fun. If you are having fun you are winning.

Lol yeah, that’s why I have Yuriko. She’s the most fun commander I know of IMO, and I was able to make her pretty competitive too. Was just kinda wondering if I could optimize Elenda that way. I have been told that they’re amongst the same tier, power wise, but I couldn’t see exactly how.

Astroaero the only way I could see it working competitively would be to dig deep into the sac outlets and instant speed recursion. Also spending money on tutors to dig out combo pieces.

I don’t know about you guys, but I don’t usually buy copies of cards above 50 bucks for each deck. If I need two vamp tutors, I’ll proxy one if the real one is in another deck. That’s why, for the most part, money isn’t a huge issue. I decided to focus on Rakdos for now, though. Eldrazi turn five sounds awesome to me. I’ll probably revisit Elenda when I have more time, when school ends, etc.

What does everyone think for potential includes from Modern Horizons? I cut in Cordial Vampire , Silent Clearing , Talisman of Hierarchy , Etchings of the Chosen and Kaya's Guile (Listed in rank order)

My favorite part of Cordial Vampire is he combos with massacre girl the same way Elenda does, if he is on the field when massacre girl etb all 2/2 or high vampires you control will survive!

Thoughts on the knight adventure cards. I understand Haarkon can not cast the adventure side but they could be recured, flickered?

What do you think this would look like as a brawl deck?

griffstick I made an Elenda brawl deck when she first came out Brawler Rose it was so effective I converted it into a commander deck Elenda, a Rose as Sweet it was built before last years rotation, but it should give a basic frame for a current brawl deck.

+1 because the deck has so much flavor my mouth started to salivate. The only qualm I have with this list, is why in God’s name is Vona, Butcher of Magan not in here? She has synergies both in lifegain and theme, plus a sweet removal ability. Even her art and backstory show that she is a literal conquistador. Please add her in because this would take the flavor to Gordon Ramsey levels of spice. Anyways +1 from me.

Vona, Butcher of Magan just... costs too much and is too slow. This deck likes to be mean and lean and Vona is a detour I don't feel like taking. A+ flavor choice though. Thanks for commenting!

Sling-Gang Lieutenant, Elspeth, Knight-Errant, Thought Vessel, and Ashes of the Fallen seem like possible removals for Tombstone Stairwell, Nightmare Shepherd, and Arcane Signet.

Sling gang is your only source of goblins I think. Seems like he has limited usefulness because of this.

Knight-errant is great if you get the ult but doesn't offer much else. Unless your meta is like mine and walkers actually stick around you'll only ever get limited usefulness from her.

I'd say unless you get large hands a lot arcane signet is just an upgrade from thought vessel.

Ashes seems like is it another card with a very narrow use and won't do anything unless you have Haakon, Stromgald Scourge.

You've given me a lot to think about, particularly with leaving out cards like Blood Artist and Zulaport Cutthroat. I realized I have those/similar cards in my deck more out of inertia than anything, but they might be two steps removed from what Elenda really wants to do - more ancillary benefit than core strategy support. Hmm...

Obvious Ikoria stuff so far: The Ozolith, Bastion of Remembrance, Luminous Broodmoth

So many suggestions already. I feel like Bog Witch is an underutilized card for reanimator. She's slower than many other cards for getting Haakon, Stromgald Scourge into the yard (and doesn't tutor him there), but also potentially can immediately pull him out of the yard. Also just a really good ramp spell for reanimator in general, imho.
