My first attempt at a Simic Evolve deck. Some fun combos that either:
Added a bit of ramp and control in the mix to make sure the deck gets its time to get going, but with the low mana costs it should easily maximize its potential without extending a game too long.
Doubts:
Zameck Guildmage VS Fathom Mage.
I feel the deck has already enough draw, and while having another creature to Evolve, so generate counters, is attractive, I think that the plentiful mana of the deck makes Zameck Guildmage the better option.
Gyre Sage VS Incubation Druid.
I really wanted to keep the Evolve theme in the deck, but the Druid just gives me more potential as it can easily help the deck put out a Simic Manipulator or a Renegade Krasis with one tap.
Decisive Denial VS Simic Charm.
Charm gives more options, but I feel the deck needed the kind of control that Denial brings to the table. Also adding Fading Hope - which is by its own merits an amazing card - makes up for the removal loss of choosing Denial over Charm. Tough one tho, because the +3/+3 is juicy.
Unexpected Results and Prophet of Kruphix.
I really wanted to add either or both to the deck, one is fun and the other is a clear advantage. But I feel that the mana cost and the lack of synergy with the deck doesn't make them the better options.
Walls are in the maybes as I first thought of adding some to buy the deck time to generate enough momentum. I think the way the deck adds control now is better tho.
Feedback is appreciated, lots of other fun stuff in the maybes!
