The only ones I found that fit were Mer-Ek Nightblade, Bramblewood Paragon, and Tuskguard Captain. I tried Mer-Ek, but for four mana it didn't feel worth it. I'd probably get Bramblewood if I wasn't so cheap, and Tuskguard is just a lesser version of it. It's definitely cheaper, but I didn't really like the mana cost. I may end up putting it back in though.

Like the deck idea! I've always loved BG counter decks. But I've got 2 words for you: Lotleth Troll.

Interesting. I did some playtesting, and I'm not entirely sold on it, considering that it usually seems more worthwhile for a creature to be cast than discarded, but I put a couple in for now. Thanks!

ChrisPBakon, the real moment of glory for Lothleth is the regen and trample on top of it. You can pump it like mad, then if they try to destroy it you just regenerate it. The only sad part is if they Path it. But if you run cards like Gravecrawler or other recursion, the discarding isn't harmful at all

Isochron Scepter for Bioshift and Solidarity. Primordial Hydra is absolutely insane with Corpsejack. Slitherhead is much better than Rakdos Cackler, and I'd switch Thrill-Kill for Deadly Recluse.

Thanks, Myattemptatlogic! if I weren't so cheap with Magic, a set of Primordial Hydras would no doubt be in there, and probably some Kalonian Hydras. I hadn't thought of Isochron Scepter, but it's expensive (for me). I like the idea of it though.
Slitherhead is an interesting idea. The disadvantage is that it has no way of getting counters on itself, except for Bioshift or Cytoplast Root-Kin. I've also considered throwing in Varolz, the Scar-Striped, in which case I probably wouldn't put Slitherhead in. I plan on removing Cackler, with Bond Beetle also being a solid replacement, so it's between that and Slitherhead.
I'm glad you suggested Deadly Recluse because it reminds me I need a way to deal with flying. That being said, switched it was Thrill-Kill Assassin, I'd be doing it more for the reach than the deathtouch. Since Recluse has the same disadvantage as Slitherhead, Aquastrand Spider beats it in that regard, but obviously lacks the deathtouch. Maybe I'll switch Thrill-Kill out for one of those two.

xDaxEpicxPandax, I'm not sure you actually looked at the deck that much because there's no blue in the deck. Sure, Bioshift is blue, but I'm only casting it with green. Still, Villainous Wealth wouldn't suit the deck.

First of all, I have 0 eperience with BG. But i like this deck idea!
Kaladesh also brought Durable Handicraft, might be of use?
I'm liking the interaction between Deranged Outcast and Bloodsoaked Champion to consistently spit out counters over the turns. What do you think of it?
Bloodsoaked Champion is also a o.k. card to be discarded by Lotleth Troll since it will recur.
If we're talking a slightly higher budget, Golgari Thug synergizes with these guys too (in case you run the Thug you might find useful having some Groundskeeper - to recover some of the dredged lands, and as fuel for deranged outcast).
Always remaining on a slightly higher budget, you'll love to throw Savra, Queen of the Golgari with these guys.
What are your thoughts on old-school Shambling Shell and Golgari Guildmage?

Ah and just as I did with the UG version, I'm still positive that in +1/+1 counters decks the rings can have some use: Ring of Kalonia, Ring of Xathrid

Other than this deck, which I only recently got to play for the first time, I have no experience with BG either, so I'm open to anything!
Durable Handicraft did catch my eye, but I feel my mana could be more effective on other things. Speaking of Kaladesh, however, I am definitely interested in Aetherborn Marauder. For 3B it'll affect my curve, but it may be worthwhile, not to mention a way to handle flying.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
As for Deranged Outcast, Bloodsoaked Champion and Golgari Thug, putting all three into the deck would feel like a significant change, and I like how the it plays at the moment. Putting in one or two wouldn't be as effective obviously wouldn't be as effective sine they synergize with each other.
However, I've been thinking of making a scavenge deck and those are some cards to consider, as well as Savra.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
I think both Shambling Shell and Golgari Guildmage are expensive (mana-wise) for what I'd get.
I'm always on the fence about the rings. Obviously they provide consistent counters and trample/regeneration, though considering I only have two black creatures, Kalonia would be more useful than Xathrid. However, the lingering question I have is, "What is currently in this deck that would be less valuable than Ring of Kalonia?" That's what keeps me on the fence.
Thanks for the input!

Nice causal/innovative deck, Llanowar Reborn is a good inclusion as it has the graft ability which can be useful in later games, Lotleth Troll seems like a odd ball here, good if you can recur creatures for instance but you want to have as many creatures on the board, Gyre Sage would be more useful.
The problem with these kinds of decks is that direct damage/removal really hinders you having a strong board-state, Lightning Greaves would be great in here even as a two-of, the haste could be a massive game changer.

Thanks for the suggestions!
Llanowar Reborn has been in my maybeboard for a while simply because it enters tapped, and early-game is when I need land the most.
I haven't put in Gyre Sage because in most cases I'd likely only get to evolve it once or twice. Still, some playtesting with it wouldn't hurt.
While I'm not super concerned with removal since I play casually, the deck is really vulnerable to it, so Lightning Greaves is an interesting thought. I may look into Swiftfoot Boots as well. Although it costs to equip, it's less money (yes, I'm that cheap when it comes to Magic), but mainly because I could target the creature without having to unequip it.

Sometimes i give some odd suggestions but some i think can be useful in certain matchups. I understand that, need to be more aggressive for sure. I like the inclusion of Protean Hydra, good if you can get it above 3 toughness primarily against red decks.
Gyre Sage could do some work, did for me before i disbanded the version i made.
Lightning Greavesor Swiftfoot Boots are most useful against hyper aggressive decks and burn, i would have also recommended a two of Kalonian Hydra but it's better if your playing more of ramp role to get it out quickly.forgot to +1 :D

Thanks! If I had the money, I'd love to throw in a pair of Kalonian Hydras, though as you said, I'd have to play around with mana base for it to work. And if they didn't cost $10, they'd already be in there.
The Greaves or Boots could always be a sideboard for playing against more burn or removal-oriented decks. I can always use Bioshift as sort of an indirect tool in that way, if needed. Either by moving counters off a creature that will inevitably die, or moving counters onto a creature to prevent it from dying. Not the best system, but better than nothing.

Definately worth the investment in the long run if your wanting to take this deck further but the deck can do well enough without them and put up some interesting results.
I was thinking they'd be fine for the sideboard if your not wanting to change much in the main, Bioshift is actually one of the better cards when it comes to combat tricks and can win the game out of nowhere. It'll be great to see how this deck evolves.

Kalonian Hydra is better than Primordial Hydra in most situations I think. It's only about $5 because of the C16 reprint, so might be worth picking one or two up.

Hey, I am currently working on a similar deck. Managorger Hydra , if left unanswered, ends games. Great pick! I personally like Walking Ballista and Hangarback Walker as two drops. With Hardened Scales and Winding Constrictor even a 1/1 artifact becomes big. I am however still looking for +1/+1 based removal. It's a pity Hunt the Weak isn't all that good. How does the Aetherborn Marauder work for you?

If I spent more money on Magic, Walking Ballista and Hangarback Walker would definitely be two that I'd look at. Unfortunately I don't get to play often enough to make investing in more expensive stuff worthwhile. Winding Constrictor is one I may try to fit in, but I don't know what I'd remove.
Looked through your decks to see if I could find the deck you're describing. The one titled Savageborn Sage? If so, I can comment over there to help you out.

I love this deck but I'm supposed your not using any of the creatures saying "creatures with +1 +1 counters on them have this"
