The focus of the deck is casual modern-legal play.

The objective is deploying as large a number of elves as possible and overrun the enemy, only with a different take than the usual elves we're used to: here I seek to pump the elves through the use of distributed +1/+1 counters.

+1/+1 counters cards

• Master Biomancer: pumps future drops, and earlier drops can be pumped by Ghostly Flickering them.

• Joraga Warcaller: key piece to pump, as the profits of putting +1/+1 counters on this guy are immense.

• Hunting Triad: versatile +1/+1 counter pumping spell

• Increasing Savagery: i'm trying this one because of the huge amount of green mana that can be floated by elves.

Blue and utlity cards, for the late game

• Muddle the Mixture is the key card as it can fetch the other utilities by transmute. In itself can be useful protection against board wipes late in the game.

• Wrap in Vigor: it's a protection vs Supreme Verdict when i don't have a Ezuri, Renegade Leader out to defend against it.

• Gaea's Blessing used to recycle large masses of dead elves sitting in the graveyard, back into the deck.

• Beck / Call this bad version of Glimpse of Nature can be very good with modern elves that are able to splash . Unfortunately, due to the high cost of many creature cards in this deck (Momir, the Biomancers, the Prophet of Kruphix, the kicker on Joraga warcaller...), it doesn't have an enormous impact on this particular deck. Still it's good to combine with a Momir Vig, Simic Visionary in very late turns with an enormous amount of mana available. (If you are wondering, the answer is yes Beck is transmutable by Muddle the mixture. • utilities not fetchable by muddle the mixture: Prophet of Kruphix: the untap seems good, as does flash but I'm not sure it's good enough, Momir Vig, Simic Visionary: the tutoring is nice but since we've gost mostly monogreen creatures, to use Momir's "blue" ability a substitute card is needed i.e. Beck / Call: the necessity of a combination to get Momir to work properly is actually very bad news, but he's flavory so he's staying for now.

• card draw: Distant Melody and Shared Discovery. On the one hand, thee draw cards have some synergy with a board full of elves and can draw a lot. On the other hand, they are very expensive (don't let the 1-mana cost of shared discovery fool you: the real cost is tapping four untapped creatures) and are horribly inconsistent (they are unusable after a board wipe). I'm going with them for now, we'll see.

Maybecards

• Ghostly Flicker: I'm not sure about this card but has potential to save from targeted removal and In-combat death and possible profitable interaction with a Master Biomancer in play

• Viridian Acolyte: blue fixing is a pain, and this guy helps while still being an elf. A major issue is that the ramp is significantly slowed down by the fact that he can fix but can't generate mana. Plenty of alternatives (by paying more): (cmc2): Servant of the Conduit, Beastcaller Savant, Bloom Tender(this one is out of budget constraints); (cmc3) Elvish Harbinger, Mul Daya Channelers, Lifespring Druid, Silhana Starfletcher.

• Descendants' Path: seems good. Will have to try it.

• Swan Song: a cheaper Muddle the Mixture with a downside, and no transmutability for the late game.

• Essence Warden: an elvish lifegainer that could prove useful. maybe.

• Other draw spells and effects Serum Visions, Gitaxian Probe are well known cantrips (draw 1 spells) that perform fine. Elvish Visionary and Coiling Oracle are also well-known cantrips with a small body that could fit well in here. Zameck Guildmage: it sure is expensive to draw with this guy. But a 2/2 Elf body for 2 isn't that bad. Ordeal of Thassa: puts +1/+1 counters on a guy (and it's synergic with the deck's counters theme) before drawing (turns later) and is likely to get removed before you can draw (it's a meh card in my opinion).

• Hardened Scales: deceptive. I wouldn't lose turn one to cast this. It pumps more counters, but its effect only shines when those +1/+1 counters are placed one at a time. This deck doesn't have cards like that (e.g. Forced Adaptation, Mikaeus, the Lunarch, Gavony Township). Not worth it.

• Forgotten Ancient: no idea. Could even be good.

• anti-enchantment/artifact: Krosan Grip: is the ultimate anti-enchantment/artifact. Other options may be: Reclamation Sage for elvishness, Nullmage Shepherd fr both elvishness and repeatability. Naturalize for transmutability by Muddle the Mixture. Who knows.
