Counting All the Angels (Standard Angels)

Standard GWU (Bant)

Sideboard

Here is a new brew, featuring the Dream Team trio of Resplendent Angel, Lyra Dawnbringer, and Shalai, Voice of Plenty.

Those three cards are the main win condition. Basically if you can resolve Lyra Dawnbringer, you'll be able to swing the game in your direction. It gets ridiculous with Resplendent Angel, and the hexproof from Shalai, Voice of Plenty will help insure our board. This combo of cards should not be underestimated.

The other portion of the deck is a counters-matter subtheme. Featuring Rishkar, Peema Renegade, getting counters on our creatures will not only buff them, but also turn them into mana dorks for ramp. Ajani, Adversary of Tyrants not only helps with the counters, but can also get back our 2-drops. (I really, really wish his ability his 3-drops...) We have Herald of Secret Streams in there for finishing a clogged board, and you shouldn't forget about Shalai, Voice of Plenty's activated ability to pump your team.

For our 2-drops, we're running the new Thorn Lieutenant because it is very resilient to removal. And Merfolk Branchwalker helps us hit gas and/or lands when we need it. These two can both be brought back with Ajani, Adversary of Tyrants's ability, leading to some good value. Throw in some card selection, removal, and protection, and you have a deck.

I've been running the core of this deck in Arena, and it's been alright. Sometimes can get a little slow, but it can win out of nowhere and usually isn't a strategy that opponents are expecting.
