Meletis Charlatan only copies spells, he doesn't allow you to cast them, so I don't think he triggers heroic. Also, Evangel of Heliod seems kind of strange for this deck. If you have enough white devotion to make him good, you probably have enough creatures on board to be winning anyway. Maybe mainboard Ordeal of Thassa and Battlewise Valor ? They let your threats get through a little easier, and the Ordeal of Thassa keeps you from running out of gas if you can trigger the draw.

Thanks for the feedback and suggestions the.beanpole. I incorporated Battlewise Valor into the deck prior to playing it last night. Ordeal of Thassa remains in the sideboard.

I also think that you should kick Evangel of Heliod . Maybe adding Battlewise Hoplite up to 4? It would fit the decks better than Evangel. And i think that the Render Silent should go surely out. It doesn't fit into the theme of deck, and there better counterspells in Standard, such as Dissolve , Syncopate , etc.. Maybe replace it with Silence ?

MrWorldwide, since this is the second suggestion to remove Evangel of Heliod , I did. I replaced it with Silence .

I am confused as to why you believe Render Silent does not fit in this deck? I believe it is an effective strategy. Could you or someone else please elaborate?

Well, mainly because that these kinds of decks don't have counterspells. If you really want to have some counters, put Dissolve or Syncopate. Ask yourself, is this card useful in the deck?

Either go control or aggro don't try to do both. Rakdos and the Blood Baron decks will do that much better than U/W currently. the two links have an aggro and a control version of what your trying to do. You probably went 1-3, I'm assuming, because you saw too much removal, or you got raced out too quickly by aggro decks.
