The concept is great. In playtesting, have you found that you're making Ajani's Pridemate big on a regular basis? I was thinking that you've got a lot more Heroic triggers going than lifegain, and you've got the Thaumaturge there to make those triggers cheap, so you might get more work out of Phalanx Leader .
As for the hexproof side of things, bant has access to Sagu Mauler ... not sure if there's room for him in this deck but he's a beast and has the hexproof thing going for him if you wanted to start leaning more in that direction.
For your sideboard, consider Glare of Heresy for any opponents running a bit of white... cheap removal is always good, especially cheap exile

By the way, I did a bit of playtesting, and Thaumaturge + Glimpse of the Sun God is definitely nice :)

Doubling Season would work awesome with the +1/+1 Counters.

Stubborn Denial shouldn't be in the Main Board. Incremental Growth overall just isn't worth it. I'd add +2x Hardened Scales and +2x Gods Willing , or something like that.
Honestly, I'd cut the Fleecemane Lion , too, but that's the theme, so you probably want to keep it.

If I venture away from standard with this build certainly. Thank you for the suggestions and vote!

Yea, sorry about the late vote. I can't believe I forgot to do so earlier! And what do you mean by "venturing away from standard"? Aren't all of those standard legal?
October 21, 2014 5:26 p.m.
Someone had suggested doubling season. I will be editing the deck to some of you suggestions in a few minutes I have to up with my phone so it takes a second.
October 21, 2014 5:32 p.m.
You're doing this on your phone?! Damn! I have great respect for you sir, and I am now thoroughly impressed. : )

Yeah my son is on the autistic spectrum so if I'm on the computer it's time for Disney songs and games. I've spent so much time brewing on my phone that it's become second nature. Though I lose everything if I don't save often.

Went to 4of on feat of resistance as it combos with thaumaturge on the field.

If I see one more deck with nothing but counterspells, removal, and Elspeth, I'm going to lose it.
Or just play this deck. Yay!
+sideboard Aegis of the Gods ?
I will deliberate further.

i see this deck has changed since the last time i commented thats good. when i brew decks i like to look at other deck list that are similar to see similarities, it always helps me. check out these 2 lists, i have Pants and Pumps which i have had a lot of success with in testing and this new 1 i am going to start testing Setessan Heroes .

What scorprix said, considering you have a decent amount of cards that can give/gain +1+1 counters i would add 2 or 3 Hardened Scales

No worries thank you for checking this out and for the vote of course.

instead of Incremental Growth , i would consider Reap What Is Sown because of the lower mana cost. i would also cut seeker of the way since he doesn't reakky fit what you're hoing for here. maybe Vanguard of Brimaz would be a viable replacement

I like incremental growth because it's gg with thaumaturge on the field. Thank you for your suggestions!
October 22, 2014 5:55 a.m.
I like what I see so far. I'm thinking Sage of Hours could do wonders here. With a Battlefield Thaumaturge out and Hardened Scales it would only take one Incremental Growth to get him up to the needed five counters. It would also be a descent card against control decks since the ability triggers with just being targeted even if the spell is countered.
October 22, 2014 6:05 a.m.
I think sage would be a strong one of if I happen upon him awesome if not in not heartbroken I like where you head is at. Thank you +1 to your soul I'll be sure to comment and upvote one of your brews.

Seeker defiantly has a spot and does so much to make up for all that land damage I'm taking early on with fetches confluence and yav coast.

Pretty good, playtested it against a variety of decks and it held its own very well. One of the things I would suggest is to consider some of Abzan's counter power cards like Abzan Falconer . Even putting it in the sideboard would be great for going up against flying decks. Also I would suggest at least one Ajani, Mentor of Heroes . Overall awesome deck.

Hey I like the concept but I feel you will be too slow trying to fix three colours without the expensive land cards :-(
I would play W/G and adapt the deck.
Favored Hoplite + Ordeal of Nylea for RampHero of Iroas + OrdealsHardened Scales + Feat of Resistance with HeroicFleecemane + Protection until MonstrousHigh Sentinel of Arashin for added win con.
Keep this core and adapt for your playstyle.
I'm sorry if its not much help but its all I have lol.
