neek-oh that is actually the exact same thing I've been thinking about in the past 24 hours. Even when I get mentors in play, it takes a few rounds for him to really overwhelm my opponent. I'm actively seeking a better fit for that slot. Please let me know if you have found something that works because I do in fact want to replace him.

Try replacing the mentor with the forerunners they both cost 3 but forerunners can attack when they come in

pidgeon I have a deck that is extremely, extremely similar (really only like six cards are different ha). I ran 3 mentor for awhile, but I've found that Brimaz, King of Oreskos is much more efficient when trying to be aggresive. Also, I have a playset of Thunderbreak Regent sideboarded for when I'm up against token hate and a few Deflecting Palm sideboarded as well for decks like R/G monsters and the like.

pidgeon I'm running Stoke the Flames in the slot where Monastery Mentor used to be. I can at least convoke tokens that can't attack yet to deal damage asap.

-3 Monastery Mentor -3 Wild Slash

+4 Stoke the Flames +2 Outpost Siege

I'm also running 3 Stormbreath Dragon in my sideboard for token hate. Protection from White lets me deal with Dragonlord Ojutai.

I put this together and tried it at this past f-n-m, had an amazingly fun night!round one and 2 ended up having impact tremors and purhoros in play and on turn 5 foddered and outbursted for 15 to the face.round 3 however was the most fun.deck moved a little slower, won turn 6, having impact tremors and purphoros in play as well as outpost siege calling dragons. (I had him coming and going) I foddered, then outbursted for 15 to the face just like rounds 1 and 2, but then he decided a bileblight to the tokens was smart...it wasn't... 5 more from siege.. damn fun deck.

Agromagnus so glad someone is finding success with this deck other than me lol. Not only is it a pretty legit deck, it really is fun to play. And with how it turned out, there are several win cons as all the cards work with each other. Thanks so much for the comment and I hope you continue to have more wins!

We're you using the exact decklist or did you find other cards that worked? I'm always looking for it to be better so I'm interested even if you had just 1 different card or different amounts of each card. Please let me know what you found to be a good balance.

I would cut 1 Beserker for 1 Swiftspear. Berserker is a silver buller sometimes but having an early Swiftspear is always awesome.

Do you think Elspeth is too slow for this deck? She's played a lot lately and seems perfect with the amount of tokens she spawns as an end-game... But maybe this deck will play too fast for her to be useful?

If you decided to use elspeth, I wouldn't run very many. But if you get into a stalled situation, she could he very useful

I would recommend you some Collateral Damage so you can deal with Bile Blight.I would also remove 2 Secure the Wastes and add 2 Triplicate Spirits so you can defend and generate tokens at the same time, even without mana.

vittorsm I agree with collateral damage. I'll probably replace wild slash with those.

If the spirits was a instant I would agree, but investing that much mana/creatures for 3 1/1s is kinda hard to justify. I'll play around with it and check it out. If it works then I will definitely use it.

pidgeon the good part about the spirits is the convoke, since you can waste 3 mana in hordeling outburst and use those tokens to generate even more tokens using convoke.

Vittorsm Secure is strictly better though because instant.

lemartes12 : But secure is a shitty card when you have only 2-3 lands, that is the weak spot of this deck.

What did you take out for stoke the flames? Need something for that slot until I get stokes in the mail

May 13, 2015 6:40 p.m.

pidgeon says... #16

Really any 3 to 4 drop will do. I had 3 mentors and a secure the wastes that I took out for stoke

May 13, 2015 8:28 p.m.

pidgeon says... #17

As far as secure the waste versus the spirits, I would rather have the secure. But the truth is you shouldn't have many secures. Need to find something better than both of them.

May be a bit greedy, but it seems like Trumpet Blast would be just what you need to punch that last bit of damage through.
Also, Iroas, God of Victory would seem to slot in perfectly. You can attack with everything every turn and never lose bodies, and the semi-evasion would help get a lot of damage in.

Foundry Street Denizen is a power house in the Impact Tremors build. It is arguably better than Monastery Swiftspear because when you cast Hordeling Outburst swiftspear will prowess once but denizen's ability will go off for each goblin hitting the field.

x2 Outpost Siege it is really good with the dash ability and even if your token die they do damage

May 15, 2015 11:02 a.m.

pidgeon says... #21

For some reason, I was thinking outpost siege dragons was when it dies. I never thought about the dash mechanic hitting every turn, in and out, even if no attack.

I took out swiftspear, went to 4 bezerker and 2 outpost.

I may play around with denizen some this weekend.

Broken Tokens Here is how i built mine. It is slightly different but the only way i have ever lost is mana issues (they get clumped together).

Do God card's abilities still activate with out devotion? Seems Like it would be tricky to get the devotion you need with dashing Berserkers.

Thanks for letting me know in advance :)

May 16, 2015 12:06 a.m.

pidgeon says... #24

Corigan, the God abilities happen just like an "enchantment". As long as it's in play, the effect is there.Devotion to red will allow the god to become a creature. It will stop being a god if devotion is lost and continue to just be the "enchantment".
