This is a fun and deck revolving around the mechanics of populate. The deck is really slow, so it's more of casual deck. This decks comes with 3 different plans of attack, all revolving around tokens (of sorts)
All the cards that you see in this deck is what I have on hand through a box of RTR and slightly older collection
Plan A: use
Cackling Counterpart
on one of the four creatures you may have on the field at the time to control the battlefield, then populate that token to consistantly use it. In an emergency where you only have 1 token, you can flashback it
- Captain of the Watch
- - Swarm the field with 3 soldier tokens as she ETB and watch your tokens get +1/+1 with Vigilance per Captain of the Watch

Angel of Serenity
- - Non stop control of opponent creatures on the field or graveyard, or you can recycle your own creatures as your bring her out each upkeep through populate
- Healer of the Pride
- - Need life? Create a token of this creature and she'll give you all the life you need by populating each turn.
- Thragtusk
- - Heals life and grants a token. Work well with this deck. (actually, work well with almost any flicker decks)
Plan B: swarm the field with regular Soldier generated by
Captain of the Watch,
Precinct Captain, and
Attended Knight. Then proceed to forcefully beat down your opponent
Plan C worse case situation where your opponent keeps popping your creatures and they all end up in the graveyard. Using
Seance to bring back a token copy of the creature.
This is a last ditch attempt to get a token out onto the field if you don't already have one. Also, this will not allow you to bring back creatures into your hand with
Angel of Serenity
ETB effect Roles of noteworthy cards that works with all plansParallel Lives - Excellent card to double your token generated by populating.
Vitu-Ghazi Guildmage - If you don't have a token out, use her to bring out a 3/3 Cenatar Token, then use her second ability to populate each turn
Cathars' Crusade - Whenever a creature ETB, all creatures get +1/+1 counters.
Chromatic Lantern - Mana fixer
Growing Ranks - Populate at the beginning of each upkeep.
Rootborn Defenses - Anti Nuke, don't want to lose all those tokens now, do we? Also it will populate
