minus: Dance of the Dead plus: Thoughtseize
Why: Got a game in, reanimated turgid 4 times, this was the worst feeling of them, cut thought seize earlier for Oppression , it feels more value to have it more specific/consistent discard.
Cards im looking at space for in the build currently:

Good idea cleaning the comments :)
Regarding thoughtsieze vs. dance of the dead, I don't quite fully understand. So you cut dance and oppression for thoughtsieze and want to add another card in place of the 2nd?
Regarding the cards you want to add, Go Blank is cool, is that new? I like how its hand and gravehate in one. How often do you feel grave hate is relevant, do you find your opponents utilizing your discard to fuel the GY shenanigans and therefore you feel gravehate is necessary or for another reason? Out of the 4 mentioned, Hymn to Tourach is the best IMO. Plumb just seems weak, moreso in this build (compared to a token based build such as Hapatra). Wrench is worse than hymn and go blank is on the mayebeboard for me. I like cheap and efficient spells.
I see you already have GY hate in the form of soul guide lantern, not sure if redundancy is needed, thoughts?
April 27, 2021 3:02 p.m.
I cut dance because it brings the creatures in tapped and I can't uncap it without paying a tax to do so (everytime)I didn't like how it played in the game i had it in so I cut it for more hand disruption (thoughtseize)
Thoughts on the four mentioned:
Go Blank - I like the full value that Tergid squeezes out of this card. because of the "period" they would discard-teragrid swipes what they discard if applicable-then they exile the yard. It's kind of gotcha kinda cute so, when I can get more games in i'll know better how to respond to the meta game questions
To answer the question yes it was printed in Strixhaven
Hymn to Tourach - I like this card always have is the best option i have out of the other three mentioned discard spells
Wrench Mind - this card isn't good per say after turn 2 so axe that all together
Plumb the Forbidden - I like this draw spell, good counter to board wipes or a good way to make use of my own tokens or creatures I steal from others.
Side note: Tergrid has played in three 1v1 games and a lot of the time im not really getting to "play" the deck as it wasn't built for 1v1. Im getting a little agitated at that not gonna lie. that aside Oppression is still in the deck, i'm not cutting that it's to good. I guess I just need to wait longer for actual multiplayer games.

Maralen of the Mornsong Why: Locks people into hands with Opposition Agent
Grave Pact Why : Took place of Death Cloud , allows for better interaction with the board as well as just more synergistic with the deck
Read the Bones and Sign in Blood why: best card draw I could find as I can't currently afforded a Necropotence
Hymn to Tourach Why: I've been looking for more instances of discard for the deck
@Profet93 as a side note some cards im looking at including into the deck here shortly after some conversations wit ha couple buddies in the play group are as follows
Mindslicer ---> cut Ill-Gotten Gains / cut Sadistic Hypnotist
Insidious Dreams -----> cut: Diabolic Intent or another tutor???
Sedgemoor Witch ----> cut: IDK, i like the card because it makes tokens(think Tavesh/Skullclamp/Smokestack)
May 26, 2021 8:04 p.m.
Maralen of the Mornsong - I get the idea behind it, but unless you flash it in, or has Opposition agent already in field/hand, I'm sure they will tutor for removal for it (or boardwipes in general or even worse, advancing their own plan) by the time you get to your turn, it will probably be dead or irrelevant. I can be proven wrong, try it out and see how it works, long term. Not just after 1 game, as once the meta learns your objective, they will stop at nothing to prevent you from doing so
By removing deathcloud, crucible becomes less useful. I get you can play your own discarded lands, but I recommend possibly adding a fetch or 2 if you can afford it. That way, you can make better use of crucible. Regarding the swap, I think its a good one.
I have read the bones and sign in blood in addition to Night's Whisper . I think night's whisper is better although you can't target the opponent as it frees up black mana. I mean, how many times are you realistically gonna give your opponents card draw just to use discard the same turn. Small difference, worth noting, personal preference.
Hymm is great as it is good counterspell bait and the random part is very useful.
Mindslicer > Ill Gotten Gains - Never liked giving opponents options of cards, unless you are gonna win that turn, make them discard it immediately (and hope they didn't select instants with mana open to mess with your plans)
I don't like insidious dreams. Discard is additional cost to cast and it requires more set up IMO. Keep diabolic intent, much cheaper and easier to cast. More immediately relevant.
Idk about Sedgemoor Witch, I'm not entirely sold on it. But I can be proven wrong.

I've taken a huge mental break from this deck, and i'm gonna come back to it with the release of MODERN HORIZON 2. there are some things im highly interested in from the set
June 14, 2021 1:39 p.m.
Compared to the first build this is more bout proactively making people discard, where as the last build (you can see it from the "visual" link above) was more based around artifact recursion. In short I feel this is more focused and less durdaly
June 24, 2021 10:59 p.m.
I would cut sudden edict for liliana's triumph. Otherwise, this looks good.
How does the Urza Saga land work? Does it still produce mana on the 2nd counter? Does it die on the third counter?
June 25, 2021 1:11 a.m.
Omniscience_is_life says... #11
Profet93 because Urza's Saga "gains" the ability to tap for mana at chapter (counter) 1, without adding a time frame in which it would lose it--i.e. end of turn--it will retain the ability to tap for mana throughout all its chapters. But all Sagas have the innate text "sacrifice at [insert last chapter here]".
June 25, 2021 2:05 a.m.
@Profet93 Im actually considering cutting Urza's Saga unless I can find space and reason for the inclusion of Library of Leng . Otherwise im thinking that High Market will take it's place.
I'm pretty certain that Xiahou Dun, the One-Eyed is also going to make it into the deck to drive the Grave Pact effects and also provide recursion for discard spells etc. if that happens i'm considering finding a space for Sheoldred, Whispering One for a small loop like effect. the cut i'm considering would be Massacre Wurm
thoughts gentlemen?
p.s. I will consider the Liliana's Triumph as I am running 3 lili's but im currently in love with the 2cmc split second edict
June 25, 2021 10:10 a.m.
My sidisi deck used to be Xiahou Dun. He's definitely cool, an eternal witness for black cards only and 1 more mana. Its a great effect, but it slows down your tempo incredibly, even in my mono black deck where I prioritize on getting big mana through tutors, sidisi herself and card draw to find Urborg + Coffers + copy lands. I personally would run more draw to maintain gas unless there is a crucial black spell you wish to get back to your hand, especially with grave hate being a thing. Definitely give him a try. Just note on when you can use his ability, as that is something that most people (including myself) overlook.
I didn't even recognize the bottom half of lili's triumph. I believe that hitting each opponent rather than 1 outweighs the split second aspect unless blue is very prevalent in your meta, and if it is, why wouldn't Cavern of Souls (sorry if I already mentioned it, its been a while) be in the deck given that your commander is the entire focus on your deck? I understand tapping only for your commander is definitely not ideal, but when it's the crown jewel, then I would put it in if having split second is so crucial. Perhaps I'm missing something
Thank you for explaining it to me. I ask as my mono black deck has 6 targets for the Urza land final ability, Candelabra being the primary and sensei's divining top being next, rocks remaining. Not sure if its worth a spot as I have room for 1 flex land and it's between that or Volrath's stronghold. I tried stronghold before but I never used it. However, I also don't like sacrificing a land

Updates:
Minus deathcloud plus Ill-Gotten Gains
why: I like the love curve, regardless of returning three spells im gonna play with it in place of deathcloud I feel its more on curve and less win more
Minus Phyrexian Reclamation Plus Tortured Existence
why: strictly better also good synergy with Living Death
Minus Geth's Grimoire Plus Buried Alive
why: Buried Alive I feel is a better direct win and less win more. I can get my lock pieces and reanimate them with Living Death
June 28, 2021 3:30 a.m.
Update: Tuning
Minus Massacre Wurm Plus K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth
Why: smooths curve and allows for more explosive plays
Minus Sedgemoor Witch Plus Wandering Archaic Flip
Why: ekes out some advantage, back side fills hands to target for more discard effects
Minus Tragic Slip Plus Baleful Mastery
Why: Accomplishes the same thing that im seeking from tragic slip and is more efficient for what it does
Minus Clattering Augur Plus Glasses of Urza
Why: glasses are tutor able by Urza's Saga allow to more efficiently and effectively target hands with removal, also great T1 play. (FIND OF THE DAYYYY!!!!)
Minus Viscera Seer Plus Gate to Phyrexia
Why: Artifacts like Mirage Mirror can be a problem for turgid in terms of interaction so having the ability at hand as well as replacing a sac outlet with a sac outlet is ok with me. Secondly being able to remove artifacts at will in black sounds nice
June 28, 2021 10:31 p.m.
Minus Imp's Mischief Plus Dark Ritual
Why: Because greed, also having a second jeweled lotus is nice
@Profet93 i'm really considering running Break the Ice . reason being it gets rid f a lot of problem lands that tergrid doesn't want to deal with (things like Homeward Path ). I don't think it's an absolute addition until I get more games in at the shop that's recently opened it's play space up but it does potentially have a lot of value. the cut im looking at for it is Tavesh Szat currently
June 29, 2021 10:19 a.m.
It does kill half of your own lands though. You got to be careful!
June 29, 2021 6:07 p.m.
overlooked that until you stated just that. won't be adding
June 29, 2021 9:36 p.m.
Most resent cuts that have been made based strictly off of memory.
-1 Mana Vault for +1 Culling the Weak
Why: both are fast mana, Culling of the Weak is faster and less lethal to me over time
-1 Glasses of Urza for +1 Entomb
why: Glasses are cute, i need access to combos or other anything else, hand knowledge is not often needed.
-1 Urza's Saga for +1 Lake of the Dead
Why: Because nice things are nice (fast mana is essential in this build)

Hellish Rebuke - Too narrow IMO
Death Tyrant - Too low impact IMO
Ob Nixilis, Unshackled - Is this just for Maralen?
August 22, 2021 11:13 p.m.
Hellish rebuke probably likely on the chopping block, experimenting with it now considering its a mass sacrifice and could potentially wipe a board or steal one
Death Tyrant I liked over Endrek Sahr because I found myself never playing Endrek Sahr. Even in the games he's been on the battlefield I hardly cast creatures so he was mute. Death Tyrant on the other hand passively build a board and recurs itself, all around good closer in my eyes. Maybe Archon of Cruelty
Ob Nixilis is for the marlin lock specifically yes, but is also good outside of that.
August 23, 2021 1:24 a.m.
Death Tyrant > Endrek but .... many other cards > Death tyrant. With a list as good as yours, I figured you would prefer optimization.
Ob Nix seems great, many people forget that fetches and land fetching is considered tutoring. Shuts off a lot of stuff. Definitely a powerful card, I can't wait to see how it plays out. Have you had any games since the last time we spoke? I hope you have been well :)
August 23, 2021 1:46 a.m.
honestly I just value token generators, Death Tyrant is an interesting interaction for its slice of the pie and id like to see how that works. A lot of the time Im wanting more creatures to apply more pressure with this deck, or at least in the games i've experienced with it

CUT(S)
Minus: Grief
Added: Liliana of the Dark Realms
Why:
She has better synergy with Lake of the Dead counts towards removal(her minus ability) and ramp (fetching swamps and her ultimate which makes everything a lake), filling more positions and better rounding out the deck per say Grief which only comes in handy as a discard piece, at the loss of a card to do so for free isn't really even a bonus when I look at the two side by side.
September 7, 2021 3:17 p.m.
I've always found Lili to be subpar. It works as decent ramp and removal, but it seems too low impact. Definitely try it though. I've always preferred ramp that works on curve to get my commander out more quickly, especially if my commander deck is heavily reliant on it.
