Regarding the sideboard swaps, I concur.
What specific swaps did you make to the deck? I don't have a great memory and comment on a fair amount of decks, so it is hard to recall.

I made a lot of small changes and reconsidered a bunch of them before I was happy but I think the final result ended up being Crop Rotation out, Voidmage Apprentice out (just too inefficient), powerful tutors and Ancient Tomb and Urza's Saga to the sideboard, pathway lands in for better fixing, and Academy Ruins in as 3 of the combo pieces are artifacts.

I decided to go with another land because of the several modal/dual faced lands that I really want to be casting as spells, along with that I hate mulliganing and want as much consistency as possible

oh my God I absolutely love that combo with Yedora, Heartless Summoning and the Ripper. I think I'm gonna put it in my Kadena deck too, since it doesn't really have a wincon yet. I have been eyeing this list for a long while now and this is a great inspiration source

A build like this makes me remember why it is a good idea to run Back to Basics

I find that the upside of having my mana fixed to cast both Phage and Body of Research reliably is worth the downside of having a mana base that might get hated on every once in a while. An opponent has to run basic land hate (with all the opportunity cost that entails), find it, cast it, and have it not get removed by the table before it impacts me. This makes it a risk I'm willing to take. Although it can cause this build to lose a game once in a while I personally find the upside outweighs the hate.

Every time this deck pops up on the feature queue I fight the urge to build my own Kadena... Great deck!

This is just too cool. I don't really netdeck for EDH but I'm gonna have to proxy this and try it out once with my group. I've never thought Kadena was particularly interesting but you've definitely changed my mind on that.

I LOVE your Kadena build and have taken it as inspiration to tune my own :) A quick note on Tribal Forcemage however: Morph, unfortunately, is NOT a creature type. Morphs are, in fact, typeless. Thus, you cannot pump the whole board... :(

Good catch! Thanks for the comment and glad you like the deck so much :)

This is a pretty interesting Kadena build. Based on the deck name, I am surprised that Scroll of Fate isn't included here. Seems like a perfect way to sneak Phage onto the battlefield as "just another morph creature".

Scroll of Fate has been in and out of this list, I eventually landed on cutting it since it wasn't bringing enough value outside of the rare and risky Phage assassination attempts. Thanks for the suggestion!

Is Lotus Cobra something you could consider for early game ramp paired with Yedora, Grave Gardener Combo power? Could be a cute idea, I thought about it and it is kinda just win-more with the stuff your already doing.
Elven Chorus Seems good, its a solid card for when you board ends up super wide and also pairs well with Lightning Greaves
Primordial Mist Gets mentioned in your archives a bit. Maybe it does not align with the decks goals perfectly. Personally I think it could be too good to look past. 1. Passive value just by existing on the board 2. Mana sink options (With CMDR, and the Beast Whisperer draw doodads The card also can combo off with the right amount of cost-reduction and in general creates a lot of value. I realize this list does its thing in a pretty streamlined manor and probably benefits from staying on task. Final argument: Mists feels good on an empty board or a full one, it can do sneaky back end things like offering a way protect morphs if you have flash available.
It may also be worth noting that while Ugin, the Ineffable is expensive at 6 mana it makes your rocks and combo pieces cheaper and offers some removal and a body.
I LOVE what you have done with the deck btw.

Thank you! I have, it's a really cool effect but I feel that it doesn't impact the table or advance my primary goals enough for 5 mana.

First of all, the deck is great. I love Kadena's playpattern and am always looking for inspiration.
I might be missing it, but are you hardcasting Phage the Untouchable for the whole cost? Or do you manifest it face-down, or morph it somehow? I seem to be missing that line, if it's currently there.
+1 on the upvotes.

In the current iteration I'm just hardcasting Phage. I've experimented manifesting/cloaking with Scroll of Fate or Vannifar, Evolved Enigma for a sneak attack but you still need to pay the cost to flip Phage and you need to get the manifest in unblocked or risk Phage in combat. Ixidor, Reality Sculptor can cheat on flipping Phage but at this point IMO there are too many clunky pieces trying to come together to make a risky/inconsistent plan for a one shot work. I've tried to optimize for overall consistency and I found that the pieces here weren't fitting in well enough or bringing enough value to keep the strategy. I've considered changing the deck name for clarity but I haven't had the heart to yet lol. Thanks for the comment and upvote!

Slurpz I'm so happy we got new "morphs" to play with. I love coming Back to your deck list to see what you're cooking up.

I love the use of flash in Kadena! I am almost tempted to buy new cards again because of Yedora, Grave Gardener. Good job on this! +1

This deck looks super fun, nice job!
No room for Scroll of Fate? You can activate on others turns for extra draw, manifest non-morph cards you don't want/need for card draw, and the prospect of sneaking in a Phage face down then surprising someone seems pretty fun!

I made some adjustments and in the process cut Crop Rotation in favor of improving the mana. I also made a high power sideboard that I think may interest you, check the description. Making all of those changes is what I what I see as 'optimal' while retaining the deck's identity, along with original duals of course. Also I'm sure you could fit in more fast mana but if the game is getting that fast I'm sure there's more appropriate decks to be playing lol
