Sideboard

Maybeboard

At its core this is a Grixis Control deck. While Im not crazy about split cards I do heavily favor building decks with cards with multiple uses. A great example is Izzet Charm. Its three freaking cards in one! Enabling you to choose the alternative that suits your needs. It's also important to know how to use the sideboard, I'm still working on this one. However as an example you want to be running you Slaughter Games, but unless you know whats in the deck youre playing youll want to sub in another removal card.

Like many control decks I'm not running a lot of creatures, so I make them count. The four Vampire Nighthawk are the foundation of this decks creature count. They are in fact a triple threat! Hes a flying source of damage, hes a source to gain life with Lifelink, and lastly hes a timebomb removal spell with Deathtouch, when he dies he takes the attacking creature down with him. Since the deck is so spell heavy I put a Runechanter's Pike in two Snapcaster Mage and for good measure.

Obviously the big focus here is keeping the board clear until you can drop the hammer with a boss card. The bosses in this setup are Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker and Master of Cruelties. Bolas is GAME OVER if you can last two turns and get off his final ability. What your really aiming for is a turn six victory with Master of Cruelties. Sneak in with Rouge's Passage and then deliver the deathblow. This deck has a lot tools when used properly, enjoy figuring out your favorite way to win.

TIME TO BE CRUEL :)
